US Federal Agents Raid Businesses, Homes for Mod Chips

US federal ICE agents raided more than 30 businesses and homes on Wednesday in 16 states, looking for devices that let pirated video games play on Sony's PlayStation 2, Microsoft's Xbox and Xbox 360, and Nintendo's Wii.

ICE, or Immigration and Customs Enforcement, is the largest investigative arm of US Department of Homeland Security. ICE is with charged with the mission of "Protecting National Security and Upholding Public Safety."

What a joke, I live in Phoenix,AZ right next to the Mexico border. Trust me there is more to worry about than modchips when it comes to security. Screw them, It almost makes me want to pirate everything possible just to give em' the classic F*&^ you!

Why don't they stop by any Home Depot in Phoenix Monday through Friday and pick up the 30-50 Illegal immigrants waiting to be picked up for construction work? Probably cause this makes them more money I would imagine...

So it seems like they have the modchip part down, now get to work on the rest of the smuggling, like I don't know drugs or illegal aliens?

Does this mean that homegrown mod chips are still ok, or just that ICE wouldn't have jurisdiction in that investigation (more of an FBI sting).

I find it unfair that I'm paying an extra amount than those that support piracy. It's also unfair to the developers.

In fact, I also find it unfair that EBGamestop makes most of their money by selling used games. Hopefully games on demand will eliminate that and EBGamestop will go out of business and their owners hanged (just kidding).
