With Comic-Con in full swing, new announcements have started to emerge. Not wanting to be left out in the dark, EA joins in by officially announcing a spiritual successor to Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects.
Backward compatibility works for many games on newer consoles, but titles such as The Simpsons: Hit and Run have been left out.
From base building to swinging willies, here are the best survival games around, which include a couple of less than obvious picks.
It turns out that many moons ago, Microsoft once had its eye on the Sony published LittleBigPlanet series.
Microsoft in a nutshell. Always tried to poach Sony employees, games, 3rd party games and devices like the depth camera that was turned into Kinect but was running on PS2 before Xbox 360. Wouldn't be surprised they wanted LBP. Just like they worked behind the scenes pushing the MLB to bring Sony's baseball game to Xbox instead of making their own.
https://www.playstationlife...
They didn't spend years trying to develop their own baseball game. They wanted Sony's game.
They're scum.
"However, Healey said Media Molecule wouldn't have felt right doing that, adding it would have been "morally corrupt"."
Major kudos to Media Molecule for being an upright studio with principles.
Great, more stories like this please. Show the last of the zombies holding the line what we've been saying for years: Microsoft is anti competition, anti industry and has no interest in making games at all.
But hey, at least there's an Xbox Games Showcase to look forward to, right?
Well considering SONY just killed the series, LBP would've been dead by now either way. Though MM probably wouldn't exist by now either, so I'm glad they stayed with SONY, hopefully they don't get shut down any time soon or ever honestly.

With Comic-Con in full swing, new announcements have started to emerge. Not wanting to be left out in the dark, EA joins in by officially announcing a spiritual successor to Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects.
This news certainly comes as somewhat of a surprise, since the ironically named original wasn’t met with a warm welcome by critics. As a consequence, the newly announced successor will be considered a new franchise that will feature only super heroes from the Marvel universe. To further ensure a new approach, the developers behind the Fight Night games will take on the project slated for a vague 2008 release.
Kudo Tsunoda, General Manager and Vice President of EA Chicago, had the following to say on the new announcement:
We looked at past comic-based games to find out what was missing and what was needed to successfully translate the intensity, excitement and fiction from comics into fighting games. We’re challenging ourselves to make a game that delivers on the Super Hero promises of past top-tier fighting games.
Vice President of Interactive, Marvel Entertainment, Justin Lambros, also said a few words:
Marvel Super Heroes are a natural fit in the fighting game genre, so we’re excited to have Kudo and his team of fighting game experts put these characters toe-to-toe against each other on next generation consoles. This is a game that will deliver to both comic book fans and to fighting game diehards.
No additional details were given on the so-far untitled Marvel fighting game other than the platforms it will be appearing on - Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
With new development team at the helm, can this one be at least decent?

EA makes a new Marvel fighting game which will most likely suck. And Capcom doesn't gice us MvC3.
A travesty indeed.
