Sonic Playable in Super Mario Galaxy 2?

UK magazine Ngamer has posted an interesting tweet on Twitter this afternoon, making a rather bold claim that not only comes right out of the left field and has left people all a bit dazed and confused here at Nintendo Life Towers.

considering they really have been working to throw in some sega characters into nintendo games...this seems intriguing. Maybe the next mario kart will have sonic characters. Maybe more than sonic but pretty much other sega based IP characters like toe jam and earl and others.

I dont see the prospects of sega characters in any other systems games. Not the right demographic to have sonic in uncharted or halo. Put him in a nintendo game........

I remember back when Sonic and Mario were mortal enemies. Oh how the times have changed. Honestly, I never expected (back then) a Sonic-Mario collaboration let alone a crossover in a main Mario game. Wow.

Oh god, I'd f**king throw up if this were true. The last good Sonic game was Sonic and Knuckles. No need to ruin Mario by introducing a terrible character with an atrocious personality that hasn't been in a good game since the mid 90s.

Umm no only time Sonic is allowed in a Mario game is if the title is Mario and Sonic but this is Super Mario Galaxy 2 so no Sonic.

Remember back in the old days we were fighting who was better Sonic or Mario and now Sega is working with Nintendo just makes it look ridiculous now that I think about it.

sonic on the DC was the best sonic on 3d I ever played but I feel Sega try header to cope the DC version but they fall.

This would be sweet Mario with sonic power ups and level design designed around more running, jumping, and dodging with classic 3d Mario accrobatics. Man I would kill to be on this project.

I play Mario faster than most sonic players play a sonic game so yeah. Yet sonic can duck and slide nor run across small gaps. Sonic would make the game more linear also. Some thing A3d Mario game needs.

Sega did a great job on f zero also. Nintendo should just sign them to a 1st greement. Yet I'm sure sega would bring down the house then lol.

Nintendo has been working with lots of devs this gen which is good.

hey I'm up for Mario and sonic all in one game if it turns out any thing like this not really the dragon ball z element but if you check it out you will know what i mean :P kinda like a new super mario bros wii,brawl,sonic,super paper Mario rolled in too one,well i think it would be cool.not so sure about sonic in a super Mario galaxy game but i hope to hear more on this if its true.
