Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Producer Teases Big Announcement

Siliconera writes: "Ryota Niitsuma, Producer of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, posted a Happy New Years blog which hints at an overseas announcement.

The post says tomorrow morning there may be a big announcement on the other side of the sea. He ends the sentence with laughing, something like (lol). So by tomorrow does Niitsuma mean today our time or tomorrow, January 6? Never mind."

A HD version of this game its all I want. Make it happen Capcom!

qface645248d ago

doubt it since they already said they wouldn't do a port of this game
a sequel is another story though

PlainOldGamer5248d ago

I just love when they are announcing an announcement for something lol!

they'll probably announce the second tatsunoko . Hopefully on all 3 consoles .

I dont mind the Wii version , but i could be interested in an HD version . Plus most of all , all of my arcade sticks are ps1-ps2 and ps3 and too many cheap adapters got lag issues with fighting games .

bigjclassic5248d ago

They promised it a while ago, not to mention I imported TvC in December 08. Yeah, im getting the NA version but a real sequel is needed. HD gamers have SFIV.

Baka-akaB5248d ago (Edited 5248d ago )

lol what a tired excuse . FYI i do have a wii and will enjoy the game as is . But there is nothing wrong about wishing for an even prettier version of a great game when it's actually possible .

SF4 and TVC arent the same game at all , and i wouldnt mind SF4 coming to wii you know . It's not like TVC use any unique feature of the wii besides.

It might even come to the wii depending on Tatsunoko's success i bet .

I've got a Wii, and will be sure to pick this game up. But I can't deny that I'd rather have this game on my 360/PS3.

I think its good that the Wii gets a game like this, but I can't see Capcom passing up the HD audience on the PS3 and 360 for too long, especially with the recent success of Street Fighter and re-rise of MvC2.

I'm just guessing here obviously, but I'd assume that most people didn't buy the Wii to play fighting games. So if the game doesn't do all that hot, then we will know why. I know I'm getting the game regardless, but I need to get something other than my Wiimotes to play this game.

Redempteur5248d ago

i tried TvC ...it was a fun game ..it was an intense and speedy game ...

i recommand the classic controller

ceedubya95248d ago

yeah, I figured as much. I was going to get one of those eventually when I felt I really needed it. Looks like that time has almost arrived.

Hisiru5248d ago

@Baka-akaB
The Wii version is pretty enough to make you have a lot of fun and videogames are about fun, right?

Baka-akaB5248d ago (Edited 5248d ago )

Why should i be hypocrite about it ?
I know you guys are used to attack against the console everyday , like that big stupid threat yesterday , but everything isnt an vendetta on the console .

When pc versions of games appears alongside or after consoles versions , everyone is happy and ok with stating that its more prettier . This is no different .

Of course if , as a owner of all 3 consoles , i can have the same game with even better graphics i'll be happy about it ... geez .
It baffles me how anyone will disagree with the idea ...

I dont like to be preached about fun and gameplay neither , anyone who see me around , knows very well i'm quite into every (worth playing ;p) fighting games .

Anyway once again , IF capcom decides to make the sequel everywhere , more power to them , since it isnt a case where the game would lose anything of its gameplay with a port .

And hell , even without the need for it , i gave you all another reason actually related to GAMEPLAY : my arcade sticks arent for the wii .

IF not happening , like i did say , i'll keep enjoying the Wii version .... or heck , try it as well on the emulator to see if it runs well (wich i believe it will) and in HD .

But if Capcom could make a better verion of the game for the better consoles (tech-wise), then who could complain?

The Capcom Crossover Fighting Game People Hardly Ever Talk About

Ever wanted to see Mega Man’s sister, Roll, beat the crap out of Yatterman-1 from the series Yatterman! Gan Takada? TvC has you covered. Did you know that the game only released on the Wii? Fortunately, it supports fight sticks and GameCube controllers in addition to the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Unfortunately, Capcom’s licensing deal with Tatsunoko lapsed sometime in 2012, so we never got a sequel.

PhoenixUp1946d ago

Because not many western audiences are familiar with the Tatsunoku brand.

I’m grateful for this game existing because it led to some of its devs to also work on the later MvC3

Majin-vegeta1945d ago

Also didnt help that it was only on the wii.Instead of the other popular platforms

DarXyde1945d ago

MvC3 was broken too. Dark Phoenix and the infinite combos really made that game a drag to play online.

I love Marvel and grew up loving the comics, but I got more out of TvC. I also loved Tatsunoko growing up.

Both games are hilariously broken fighters, but MvC3 was perhaps more frustrating. Sure, TvC has serious problems that could not be patched.... but the fact that Capcom left MvC3 in that condition when they COULD have patched it and preferred to release UMvC3 is perhaps worse. They gave some flimsy reasoning about the earthquake in Japan.

gangsta_red1945d ago

We need another Capcom SNK crossover. In fact throw in Namco for the ultimate in fighting game goodness

DarXyde1945d ago

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom was a blast, but it had some serious balancing issues. I guess it wasn't really practical to allow for DLC and patches on Wii, but it was pretty bad in terms of balance. I had modded my Wii to play the original Japanese version which was, in my opinion, better than the western release. Western release added Zero, which seriously broke the game.

Vandamme211945d ago

I wanted to play this game but it was a wii exclusive

Segata1945d ago

Not only the one people forgot but it's actually the best Capcom Vs game there is and the best fighting game Capcom made in the 7th gen and they have yet to top it in the years since.
