Tekken 6 Review: Not For The Weak Of Thumbs (GameGuru)

Tekken 6 is a fast paced fighter which comprises of a vast roster of characters, each with their unique power and moves list. The game brings home nostalgia to old Tekken veterans while certainly not disappointing new comers and casual fans. With a little practice, executing precise combo moves at the right time and using a bit of strategy would all pay off during the course of the game. Although the title could have done with more co-op elements, Tekken 6 overall proves to be a fitting installment in the acclaimed series. With Tekken's familiar pick-up-and-play and beat-em-up attributes along with an array of new inclusions, you can expect the game to bring a new flavor to the King of Iron Fists Tournament.

I thoroughly enjoyed Tekken 6 on my Xbox 360. Waiting for Tekken 7 for Natal(hopefully). I also checked out the PS3 version of tekken 6 but it was awful. It’s not fun to play fighting games on PS3… PS2 WAS much better though, Xbox 360 IS much better now.

(and no… I haven’t been RROD’d in the last 2 years).

how can you play a fighting game on the 360 d-pad? its really awful. unless u just commented to bash the ps3?

both versions look the same to me....then again i have better things to do than look at every pixel on the screen and spot the difference.

You say one version of the game is awful, yet you say nothing about why it is awful to support your conclusion. You're opinion and argument fails.

**On topic. The game is pretty easy to pick up. I remember when I first started playing it and it wasn't too hard to string together some basic kicks or punches. Mastering the game is definitely another story. To perform streaming combos and ensuring that your opponent doesn't have a breather is difficult. But otherwise, the game is really fun...especially at tournaments.

but then again, all Tekken games are juggling button mashing sh1te.

SFA3, CvSNK2, KOF13, Blazblue, SSF4 all great games and franchises. But Tekken.....jesus is almost as dumb as Mortal Krapbat.

Black ops 4, because it was the last cod of duty I was able to dominate with a +2 k/d ratio. Before all the freaking cheating started to happen. It was nice catching people off guard and shooting at them first and getting the kill. Unlike now, where I shoot people first, but they gun me down with less hits, less time, literally feels like they can kill me in a split second. At times, they are able to run away after me shooting them way more than necessary, yet, the second I'm spotted, I'm dead, there's no me running away to cover. They can do cartwheels, summersaults, backflips and gun you down perfectly. They can shoot you across the map with perfect accuracy. They can jump around like morons and gun you down without even having to correct their aim. They have superman split second perfect reactions. That's the best way to describe it, everything they do is spot on perfect. They can spam and spray (no praying) their gun from far away, because they have no recoil or bullet spread. It always feels like I have to aim and also correct my aim when moving around, while these pricks don't have to do the same.

And yes, I know how to play fps games. I dominated many fps games like: Resistance 1&2, kz 2&3, Socom, MAG, Crysis, Gotham City Impostors, blitz brigade etc. all with 2-4 k/d ratio. Kz2 (lag input controls) and resistance (no aim assist in resistance) being the hardest and were the games I reached either close to a 3 k/d ratio or above.

I truly got to enjoy blacks ops 4 and got my money's worth out of it. Afterwords, I would either stop playing cod games after a while, because of the cheating, or would skip buying cod games for a year or two before buying another.

Numbers 6-9 were some of my absolute favorite early gen PS3 games. I'm still bitter about Incognito and Japan Studio.

The white knight chronicles and infamous games really need to come to modern platforms. MAG I really miss...poor zipper. The ps3 was definitely a unique console despite it being the worst home console of PlayStation.
