Diablo's a girl this time?

Newly-released cinematic images from Diablo 3 make it look as though Big Red has been feminized, with a thin body and shapely female thighs. Do these hint at some radical plot departure, (the soulstone ends up in a woman's head?) or are they just early, work-in-progress cinematic images?

I think it's just an early image, before they beefed him up, added spikes, etc. But with the female NPC Leah so prominently featured in the cinematic, and Blizzard keeping the overall game plot such a tight secret, throwing Diablo into a woman's body would certainly be an interesting twist. It's only fair; half the heroes are female, so the odds are 50/50 that Diablo would possess a woman, one of these times.

Interesting. Diablo walked Santuary in the body of the original Warrior hero (The Dark Wanderer). Maybe this time around he will come back by possessing the body of a female?

I really like that! I think you should go write the games script over at Blizzard!

DruePhoenix5394d ago

yeah I don't think it's about the host body that would matter, since Diablo SHREDDED the Wanderer's body and took his "true form" as they said. Plus his soulstone has been destroyed, he has no need to hide anymore, his form is always roughly the same, and as big and spiky and horrible as possible, as he is the Lord of Terror

Redrudy5395d ago

It would be a great twist to the plot.

RememberThe3575394d ago

That would mix things up a little.

Xulfxulf5394d ago

Admittedly, I'm not sure how him being a her would really matter. It's not as if he had some sort of fire d*ck attack last time.

could be another Lesser or Prime evil

SuperSaiyan45394d ago

How everyone jumps to thinking its Diablo in a woman's body lol

Torkith5394d ago

It was confirmed that the Demon in the cinematic was Diablo.

jav09185394d ago

It wasn't confirmed anywhere that Diablo was in the cinematic...Blizzard clearly said in an interview that noone ever said Diablo was dead or alive but not to count anyone out.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein122d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera431d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33430d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
