Worst Day Ever: BioShock 2, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3 All Delayed

This is kinda crappy. I mean I would much rather have a delay than a buggy game or something, so I'm fine with that. Just as far as my enthusiasm is concerned, it sucks. I really was looking forward to trying out Red Dead and Mafia II. Max Payne I'm not all that worried about (didn't even know it was supposed to be definitely coming this year anyways), and Bioshock 2 is fine by me, I haven't even played the first one yet.

I'll have plenty to play as it is, was looking forward to Red Dead and Mafia though. Hope they get it all smoothed out though before they do release those games. Plus this does definitely help out my wallet for this fall/winter as there was more games I wanted than I could afford.

They delayed them cause they couldn't get the mandatory installs to work on the PS3. And then of course they want to make the versions look 'identical', as in lower resolution, lack of AA(or quincunx vaseline filter), v-sync problems and unstable framerates, exclusive for the PS3 version.

Personally I'm more interested in how it turns out than these games(not that I'm not interested in them too, mind!)and HR was NOT delayed. They simply felt that it would, as a more unusual kind of game, get lost in the sea of trad of the holiday period. Gamers aren't the most open minded people and will buy what they know so to release HR when fewer other new games will be on the shelves is just good sense even if it means I wait longer for something brave and different.

Put back does not always mean delayed or problems with develoment-there's a nost of tactical and business factors affecting this kind of thing.

PS3 is this generations Gamecube yes i said it.Where did it all go so wrong for sony fanboys.Lets look at this with logic which most sony fanboys can't do. Sony sales are in the toilet. And the PS3 sales are worst then this time last year and getting worse by the week.And xbox 360 has the best versions of multiplatforms which makes up 99% of you gaming library.Also 360 has Forza 3, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell.The PS3 seriously has problems in 2009 yes it dose.

Alan Wake = Alone in the dark, but it's taking forever to come out

Red Dead Redemption looked pretty nice. New Call of Juarez is sick though and probably even better than Redemption, so i can wait for that game. Bioshock 2 i was lokking forward to. I loved the first one!

AKA Heavy Rain was delayed. Do you really think that one of the most anticipated titles out there would not sell this holiday? Almost everyone has been drooling over this game since day one. So yes, it was delayed.
As for the Rockstar games, that sucks, don't you think they could have at least focused one of them to put out this year? Oh well, I guess all the good games are now 2010. Although I am looking forward to Alan Wake, Castlevania LOS, and Heavy Rain the most.

Hey nerd, don't you realize the game of the year and the highest selling game of this year is going to be Modern Warfare 2, and it's multi-plat. Exclusives are great and fun, but I'd rather play MW2 than ANY PS3 exclusive. Oh, also, the only game that will compete with MW2 this fall is Halo ODST...360 exclusive. Look at your almighty Killzone 2, where are the sales every SDF nerds were praising it would get. "it will move systems?" Yeah it did, to the bottom shelf.

First off, sales are important, don't forget that is what EVERY company is going for. My point is, exclusives don't mean a system is better. Think about it. I could cr*p in a bag, mark it exclusive and does that make it amazing? No. My point in that post is a Multi-plat game is going to blow KZ2. Sure KZ2 has great graphics, but MW2 is going to be the game everyone on everyone elses friends list will be playing for 6 months straight. I personally don't care about sales when I purchase games, I look at what interests me and act on that. But when people sit here saying exclusives this and exclusives that, it's dumb, the most anticipated game this year is MW2, and it is not an exclusive

First off, nice Tommy Boy remix, and sales matter but only to companies and not to you or I. Sales don't make a game good or bad so they are irrelevant so using them to prove how good a game is makes no sense. IF you are of the opinion that sales are what makes games then get wii fit and give up on 360/PS3 because wii holds the sales crown.

I doubt MW2 will blow KZ2 away in graphics. Gameplay possibly but that's more subjective but I don't think it will blow it away in gameplay either. BTW I'm still playing KZ2 and so are people on my friend's list. Exclusives matter because they show what a system can do and most people like being amazed by what's on screen and few multiplats amaze much less amaze more than exclusives so in reality to gamers, not companies, exclusives matter more.

all you experts on here saying the ps3 caused the delay. you experts are right the reason the ps3 is causing the delay is because.they have to tweak the ps3 version down so much to match the xbox 360. because if they made the ps3 version the way the ps3 was meant to be programmed for. they know they would have to here you x box fans cry and moan. because 360 fanboys are a bunch of rude cry babies.

I honestly think its great that Bioshock 2 will have more time in the burner. I'd rather take a later release and get the best, than settle for a disappointment. The buzz honestly wasn't there this time. Even with the early press from the mags and the internet, there was nothing post E3. I honestly think the E3 showing of a few games this year prompted (scared) some developers to pull up the anchor and sail into next year.

It is safe to say that 2010 will be one the greatest gaming year in all of history. Bioshock 2, Alan Wake, Final Fantasy, God of War 3, Lost Planet 2, Halo Reach, Gears of War 3 (inevitable). I'm excited already and we got less than 5 months left in 09.

There was so many games coming out in the second half of this year I liked that I was glad they god delayed.

Now my attention won't have to be focused on so many different games.

Max Payne and Red Dead was expected as we all know Rockstar is kinda of studio where the game is done "when its done" so they will surely take their time in making the title.. for bioshock 2.. one should remember that the first one took more than 4 to 5 years to finish.. and they definitely dont want to rush the next one and obviously not have a broken multiplayer as we have already seen what happens when a title is rush out "Gears of War 2", Gears 2 was a good game but the multiplayer is broken. Mafia 2 delay is a little unexpected though.
