And my brother is a homosexual, sweet kid really, who I love dearly, and there are gay and lesbian people in pretty much every facet of modern life, so your attempt at humor is either totally out of the 1950s or born of a very young, insecure mind.

Peace.

P.S. To any of the "stop being so sensitive" replies. A.) grow up with a gay teen in your house or B.) replace "homosexual" with the "n" word, or any other racial or stereotypical epithet and you might see where I'm coming from.

It looks...PS2, 2002 era. At least the buildings do anyway, love the glow on the aliens though, that's cool.

This is last gen stuff. Fun? sure but so are games that were made over 20 years ago. How you guys can't see Ninty are ripping you off insanely is beyond me.

They've succeed in selling you, essentially, a last gen gaming console for way more money and selling their games that are obviously last gen quality on a last gen disc medium for such a high price of 50bucks but still charge you the same price on their popular games like Mario and Metriod as PS3 games that are on Blu-ray discs.

Come guys, look this company making this game is really trying hard to bring good core games to the fanbase but I can't believe you guys would support what Nintendo is doing to core gamers.

It's a frikgen scam.

TruthbeTold5448d ago

What you are basically saying is that because Nintendo didn't focus on power and graphics, no games can be made for it that aren't a ripoff because of what's available elsewhere?

Not everyone has graphics as their bottom line. People who can enjoy the graphics of the Conduit for what they are and care more about gameplay have either been through all this "upping the ante" graphically crap in past generations and gotten over it, or they are just pure gamers who never let such triviality get to them.

Have you played The Conduit? It's controls and customization completely own anything a console FPS has done before. Add to it the fact that they actually made the game look good for what the system is capable of and that it's only 50 bucks, and you can hardly call it a ripoff.

Chubear5448d ago

No and please, save that crap cause I didn't just start gamin in 2005 like a lot of the gaming community on forums today. That's what YOU want to believe I'm saying but it is clear that the Gameplay>>>Graphics argument is pretty lame cause it's only the Nintendo fanbase that can't have both and others clearly do. Can can also have in addition to Graphics and gameplay, great simulations in physics and enhancements to story modes with the high quality in sound for voice acting etc plus musical scores that don't all sound like they were done on a Xylophone.

This isn't about just graphics. The gameplay elements and new experiences tied in to these games do not exist outside of waggle waggle. Look at many XBLA and PSN games that aren't graphical power houses but they are new IPs doing some new current gen stuff @ an affordable price.

All you got to ask you're self is, with all these core games, can they be done on last gen machines? and the answer is an over whelming yes! They clearly can.

See this game? if it was on PSN or XBLA the fanbase of these units would have access to this for something like $19.99 while Ninty fanbase pay 50 bucks for games like this.

High Voltage is the sort of company that truly deserve support cause they are at least trying to cater to the core gamer base of the wii instead of cashing in with crap mini games wiggle waggle. Will they get the success they deserve? We'll see but still these games are indeed last gen games that Nintendo are insanely over charging.

If someone told you to buy a PS2 for $250 instead of $99 and buying it's games for $50 instead of $29.99 but you get more rounded off graphical imagery with waggle, wouldn't you think they were daft and trying to scam you? That's what Nintendo is doing to it's fanbase with the wii this gen and it's a shame core gamers go out and support Nintendo who CLEARLY have put gamers on the back burner - throwing them scrapes here and there - for their new non-traditional gamer base.

Splatoon 2 Shows Off What Wii Shooters Should Have Been

There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
