In a seeeming U-Turn, Guerilla Games have chosen to clarify their position on the most controversial subject that has surrounded KillZone 2; the control/aim sensitivity.
Despite previous articles submitted as news, Guerilla have never out right rejected the idea of releasing a patch to tweak the XY sensitivity as they emphasised they would look hard at feedback from players. That feedback has come to a resounding conclusion - the controls are an issue to a significant amount.
Read the forum posting to read their intentions.
The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
The Amsterdam-based studio reflects on its humble beginnings, beloved franchises, and growth through the years.
Up there with the top tier in the industry. Love Guerrilla Games - Horizon Burning Shores is simply STUNNING.
32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III
Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.
I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.
Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.
The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.
Alex DS. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Is the PlayStation 3 retro? This is a surprisingly hard question to answer as the system definitely has the age to be considered retro, having launched in 2006, over 15 years ago now. But with it being home to so many massive games, many of which still hold up today and in fact were released for the PlayStation 4 when that console was released, make the PS3 a retro console that doesn’t feel retro."
Typically, the term retro is given to items which are at least 20 years old (but not yet 40 years old).
Quick google search
No the PS3 is not yet a retro console. But if you're gonna put 1 game from a series in this list, then LBP2 should be there instead of the original, Motorstorm PR is also an overall better game than the 1st game and to put Tools of Destruction over A Crack in Time is a blasphemy when ACiT is the best game in the series.
Personally, shooting at some from a distance is reasonable fine and managable but it's when the range becomes close that it becomes ridiculous and purely luck. Turning around whilst firing and trying to avoid the shots from an enemy right behind you, whom is too struggling to turn quickly enough, is damn right almost impossible to master. Your speed of thinking and the speed of the game are not in conjunction, you are essentially thinking too fast which makes you shoot too early, to late to hit the target.
I accept that this was intentional from the developers. I have adapted to the game and can enjoy it largely, but I don't like the sense of having no to little control of my fate in the game when it comes to certain scenarios such as the one above.
I thought the controls were fine. Its the guns that piss me off. Im trying get the repair skill and I have to use the engineer, but the only gun he can start off with is a shotgun. It seems that I have to shoot somebody 2,3 or more times to kill them and I die from one bullet even if I have full health and even if its not a head shot. I know its not because I suck because I dont. I actually had a 105% shotgun accuracy though it did go down to 97% yesterday, but I also earned an award and trophy for being in the top 10% players of last week. I have video to prove my award. I will make a video of my gun accuracy if anyone doubts that too. BTW Im known as DA_SHREDDER on the psn.
ive mastered the controls and i have a system that allows me to shoot very well in very close quarters. (Except with the helghan pistol)
see my previous post on the subject.
I've also done a U-turn...
I complained about the demo, still believe there was a problem at least with for some people, myself included. But the retail is perfect, no "dead spots" or any other fancy labels people have gained from reading to many forums.
The controls are tight, manageable and easily learnt. Sure there is a learning curve, as there was with COD4 when first released. Dont recall everyone demanding Halo controls then. With a little practice you'll be popping off heads as easily as you did in any other previous FPS. I've put about 35 hours in the MP, and I was more than comfortable after just a few. 4-1 ratio, top 1% online :) Happy days....
There is nothing wrong with the controls . If a few idiots can't adjust to the controls there's other games that they can play . I love the controls and tweaking it will pissed me off .
