Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:
"When it comes to Vanillaware it is hard to go wrong. The developer has built up quite a reputation throughout the years of creating amazing looking games with their unique art style and generally accompanying it with either an amazing storyline or gameplay, but rarely both in one package. Now, with it being five years since their last fully original game and a couple years since their last remaster, Vanillaware has returned with Atlus at the helm once again to bring us back to the medieval fantasy realm with Unicorn Overlord. The last time Vanillaware tapped into this style was with Dragon’s Crown and but with Unicorn Overlord taking a far different approach to gameplay, is this once again a success for the storied developer?"
Vanillaware's tactical role-playing game Unicorn Overlord is a beautiful mix of old mechanics and new-age graphics, with over 65 unique recruitable characters and a rich storyline.
I have the game and downloaded it going to start it tonight and play it on the Portal.
'Unicorn Overlord' is packed with thrilling strategic challenges that reward clever thinking. Here's why it could be a future strategy classic.
In terms of game software sales, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth ranks first with 310,596 copies, followed by Princess Peach Showtime! was in second place with 104,820 units, and Rise of the Ronin was in third place with 84,785 units.
In addition, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Unicorn Overlord also made it into the ranking, making the top 5 monthly software titles all new titles for the first time in 2 years and 5 months.
What’s the total I want to know? Like it could be slow sales for that month. I’m hoping it’s total is better than FF16.
Rise of the Ronin, Rebirth and Unicorn Overlord are all fantastic games that I would recommend to anyone one.
Don't listen to the BS about Ronin it's fantastic.
