It really depends on how they remake it. It could be great or awful, honestly.

Terry_B345d ago

,,their remakes are not remakes but more or less new games. So yeah...no thank you..better don't remake it.

Kados344d ago

The upcoming DQIII remake is being done right. They just seem to insist on butchering FF.

Terry_B344d ago

Exactly..and since we talk about a FF Remake..I bet they would totally butch it.

I'm down for the hd2d remakes and stuff but I'd much prefer something a little more 3d. I'll take whatever though.

No no…just continue to milk VII, that’s clearly what every single FF wants /s

Any money when they finish VII they’ll start on something else VII related

We want VI, VIII and IX remakes

I_am_Batman344d ago

I want VIII remake more than anything else, but the last thing I want is for them to rush VII just to get to the next one. They're clearly on the right track with VII, which is amazing to me considering there were a lot of ways to screw this up and very few to do it right.

VI could certainly be done on a smaller scale, but now that I've seen what they are doing with VII, I'd want VIII and IX to at least come close to this scale of a project and it's clearly not feasible to do them all at the same time.

-Foxtrot344d ago

My point is once they finish VII they’ll start more VII projects rather than giving us the other remakes

It’s not about wanting them to rush

I'd like to see ff8 to but you definitely hear more for some of the others.

Also it's been leaked a few times that ff9 remake is definitely coming. Still rumor but can't post on here the rumors.

Snookies12345d ago (Edited 345d ago )

There's no way they could feasibly do it on the scale of FF VII Remake. Too many characters they'd have to integrate into the story. Too many crazy locations and the scale would be ridiculous. I'd really like to see something kind of like they did for FF IV on the DS. It was 3D, but on a much smaller scale. Maybe something like that, but a lot nicer looking. Still, I would love to see some of those FF VI moments with today's graphics. Like Ultima Weapon, the ghost train, the Warring Triad, the floating continent, Kefka's tower, the world of ruin, etc.

Furesis345d ago

The closest you'll get for that is in FF14 but yea it would be a huge undertaking. If they would just scale down the graphics it would be more feasible but square enix just has to have the best graphics no matter what. I would even take FF13 style graphics or 10 like fuck it. I just want a more modern version of all of it.

MrNinosan344d ago

You do know that FFXIII still today look better than most games.
A FFVII Remake scaled remake of FFVI won't ever happen, and we just got the remaster, once again.

I'm Homer Simpson drooling right now snookies12

I still think it's the best Final Fantasy to date, I have a genuine love for FFIV, but VI is still a masterpiece without rivals to me in the JRPG department

LG

I don't agree but I don't hate your opinion. Alot of the old school ff were fking fantastic
