Good. The sooner we reach photo realistic the sooner we can focus on gameplay design and physics. Although the downside is I can't play gorey games so if a game is too realistic I won't be playing it.

Mortal Kombat 11 is literally photorealistic characters with gory graphics and that game came out 4 years ago. lol

I dont really doubt its made in Unreal, now whether its actual gameplay and not just a bunch of hand tweaked animations and scenarios purposefully made for the video and not realistic to expect on the actual game… thats still up for debate. I know I’m certainly leaning towards the 2nd option

It's not fake, you can see all the graphical glitches and weird animations. Unreal Engine 5 can do photo realism. Loads of videos of people using the engine for it.

Watchdogs and The Division are the same to me. The graphics and physics to both reveals are almost unmatched til this day.

Photorealism will provide the biggest graphical jump we've seen since going from 8bit to 16bit....or sprites to polygons.

Why would it be boring if it's fun? Of course depends on the gameplay but you can't assume something is boring just because it has realistic graphics. We never would have improved past the Atari stage otherwise.

Besides there are plenty of cartoony and all other kinds of games, the more options the better.

The illusion is mostly the realistic coloring, the post processing, and camera. Look closely at materials and objects and you can see it look game-y. The lighting isn't completely accurate and some animations look animated as well.
Really cool to see and impressive but doesn't look like my kind of game.
I wouldn't sacrifice seeing where your aiming for realism. There's that one shot of the player shooting a dood and the hand and gun are just waving over the center of the screen where you're supposed to be seeing the target.

When we have shooters this real have we crossed a line? Genuine question I've played the goriest games of the past two decades from multiple doom games, manhunts, gta etc all have obvious video game graphics. Watching this footage and seeing someone get gunned down by the player felt a little to real at least for me
