Yeah it does - it's so clear now and the pulsing haptics make a world of difference when you get into the zone in music/rhythm games like this, Rez and Thumper.

Ok, but do you need VR for a game like this?? I don’t get that. VR for first person games or Gran Turismo hell yes! But this?

SullysCigar443d ago

No, you don't need it, it's just the best way to experience these already great games. You don't need 4k TVs either, but you still buy them, because it's nicer, better and up-to-date. You can play all three games flat screen if you want and in SD, which is fine.

For your average Tetris game I wouldn't bother with VR, but Tetris Effect is as much about the experience as it is about playing Tetris. It's really trippy and VR makes that part of the game even stronger.

It should ether be a free upgrade for psvr2 or a small fee but its asking me not repurchase at £33 is this a bug or just a ripoff

SullysCigar443d ago (Edited 443d ago )

Definitely a bug, the upgrade is about £8.

I'd say it should be free, but when you look at what they've done with it and extra modes, it's fair for a game that always held it's price and sold well anyway. Check out the updates in this vid:
