The Wandering Village Early Access Report - GameWatcher

From GameWatcher: "The Wandering Village is a city-builder that, in a flight of Pratchett-esque fancy, takes place almost entirely on the fertile back of an enormous prehistoric creature, the Onbu. As you employ villagers to feed, house and heal themselves, beneath them the Onbu lumbers across an ailing world ravaged by poison. The Onbu moves at its own pace, seemingly oblivious to the nascent society growing above. And yes, from time to time the Onbu will pause its journey, sit down, shit, and eventually sleep.

On one hand, the Onbu's laborious march marks the passage of time and the passing of seasons as it trudges across the desolate world, through night and day, from hot arid deserts to lush, humid wetlands. On the other, the Onbu is a kind of measure of your success; it exists in a symbiotic relationship with your village where the health of one reinforces the health of the other. The Onbu doesn't exist solely to be exploited. It must be nurtured and its trust must be gained. The Onbu is a living, breathing creature, just like the villagers, and if it dies, everyone dies."

Looks like games with mold infested gamepass.

RpgSama321d ago

Looks like they are saving all the funds they can in anticipation of the Activision Purchase, the games lately have been really, really bad

4Sh0w321d ago (Edited 321d ago )

Those are actually some pretty well recieved Indie Games if you look them up.

I dont know about Venba or others, but The Cave, The Wandering Village, and Toem have been highly praised for their unique style, Toem is a BAFTA winner, then theres the fun classic Serious Sam which has already been on ps5, no complaints then huh? Same folks who complained about lack of Xbox game diversity in the past.

Seriously what the hell are you ps loyalists complaining about as if theres suppose to be a constant flow AAA game releases every month, GP lineup this year has been great so far and we still have big games like Starfield, Lies of P, ForzaM, Persona5 Tactica & Stalker2 coming day 1 to GP among other titles this year= best deal in gaming.

shinoff2183321d ago

Interesting stalker 2 a xbox 3rd party exclusive

Crows90321d ago

Sound like an excuse.
Don't they have so much money? They choose not to give significant offerings.

Zeref321d ago

Imagine hating on indie games

Crows90321d ago (Edited 321d ago )

Or simply games he's not interested in...imagine that

And cut the sympathy crap. Top indie games are far more impressive than 99% of triple A games.

andy85321d ago

What's the deal lately they don't even add AAAs anymore. Surely it must change post acquisition but this year has been awful.

Lightning77321d ago

Exo Primal just released on gamepass last week. Plus GP

Imagine complaining every single second about Gamepass despite having a strong first part of the year. I guess MS did this ro themselves now ppl expect AAA every other week now.

Crows90321d ago

Imagine complaining about the same thing with competing platforms.

andy85320d ago (Edited 320d ago )

I pay for it I'm allowed to complain about it. And I overlooked Exoprimal but given the horrible reviews I'm glad I did. Isn't exactly a coup though is it? 1 poor game. PS added several AAAs again

Elda321d ago (Edited 321d ago )

The only AAA games that are added to GP would be XB first party games & some AAA multiplats that have been out for months or years already. Exoprimal is the closest thing to AAA which is a multiplat multi-player game currently released on GP, the other AAA multiplat game released earlier this year on GP is the baseball game The Show. Most games that release currently on GP day one are mostly Indie games & sometimes decent AA games like Wo Long & Atomic Heart. The AA title Lies of P will release on GP this September.

4Sh0w320d ago (Edited 320d ago )

Elda

lol, the downplay is real...Wo Long, Atomic Heart and Lies of P are not AA:

"Wo Lang: Fallen Dynasty, an upcoming action-RPG developed by Team Ninja and Koei-Tecmo, will be releasing on Xbox Game Pass when it comes out, in a rarity for most Triple-A games"
https://segmentnext.com/wo-...

"ATOMIC HEART Review: A Vast World And Unique AAA Experience Cements Itself In Gaming History"
https://gametyrant.com/news...

"Lies of P is the latest AAA title to grace the Soulsborne genre of third-person action games. It’s currently not out yet but does have a two to four hours long demo released in recent times that has apparently gathered immense traction."
https://exputer.com/news/ga...
-Furthermore Lies of P is highly anticipated since it won the "Best Action Adventure Game", "Most Wanted Sony PlayStation", and "Best Role Playing Game" at the Gamescom 2022 Awards.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/...

-Again there not a ton of AAA games dropping every single month, on any platform, GP is doing pretty well to snag quite a few legit 3rd party AAA games day 1 this year, plus of course all 1st party.

- Now go ahead and continue downplaying GP day 1 games, while ps gamers pay full price (for 3rd party non exclusives) but at least don't make things up.

Elda320d ago (Edited 320d ago )

@4Show Wrong.... Wo Long, Atomic Heart & Lies Of P are AA games.

Lightning77320d ago (Edited 320d ago )

@Crows? I do? Link me to where I complain about it on PS?

Making up stuff in your head again I see. See a doctor.

Microsoft is spending $60B to add Activision/Blizzard’s library of games to GamePass.
