10 Bizarre Titles For Video-Games

The video-games industry has been around for a very long time and throughout the years many titles have been released. Just like everything else, there has to have been a badly, inappropriately named titles. Around the globe you come across badly named products, names and places and video-games are not exempt from this. Obviously, this is not a list to comment on the actual gameplay or quality of the game – but just to highlight that maybe the game could have had a better thought out title. Also, these titles are in no particular order, just 10 that stood out for comedic reasons.

Let’s take a look at a few titles that made me question the developers thinking.

Ha! What were they thinking with some of these? Also, that rubber butt is a thing of beauty

MrsNesbitt3226d ago

It truly is a "Dayyyummmm" moment.

bouzebbal3225d ago

i will add Ninokuni to this list. If you understand french you will understand how bad that title is for a "cartoonish" game.

christian hour3226d ago (Edited 3226d ago )

I thought it said "10 bizarre videogames" so when I saw jackie chan there I was immediately reminded of "Jackie Chan: Stunt Master". Anyone got a spare copy and a loan of a psx?

On Topic...

No "Epic Mickey"? Really? SERIOUSLY!? I mean most of the games in this list made it because the guy made a stretch with some double entendre's at best (and some absolute leaps in logic like CHemist Tycoon), Epic Mickey would haev trumped em all (Mickey = Penis in Ireland/The Uk/ Who knows where else)

GamerGabs3226d ago

Hehe, this made me giggle. 'Half Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy' is another pretty good contender.

MrsNesbitt3226d ago

There are so many to choose from. Possibly a part two for this particular article :)

"Tales of Game’s Studios Presents Chef Boyardee’s Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa"
and its sequel (that was supposed to come out in 2013),
"The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 – Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie – Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa"
are my best examples, and ridiculous games regardless (Post apocalyptic basketball themed RPG anyone?)

christian hour3226d ago

Hang on... there's a game about Cuchulainn!? With a ridiculous name like that?! Sign me up! (gets practicing with sliothar and hurl.)

Yukes3226d ago

Everything after the original Final Fantasy doesn't make sense! They're popular but the titles of the sequels are bizarre when you think about it

christian hour3226d ago

Final Fantasy is a meta name, it meant it was their last chance at trying to make a successful game before going under. The "Final" in the title had nothing to do with the game itself.

Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars

Now known as Rocket League.

MrsNesbitt3226d ago

Haha I think they'll stick with Rocket League now
