Yara, the Cuba-inspired region in which Far Cry 6 takes place, is introduced as a “tropical paradise frozen in time.” Its people once raised arms to overthrow a dictator, but now, his son Antón Castillo (voiced by Afro-Italian actor Giancarlo Esposito) is following in his footsteps, deploying the military in every corner and disposing of anyone who isn’t what he calls a “True Yaran.” History begins to repeat itself through abusive and exploitative practices, while the country burns and progress is measured in blood. And like its island setting, Far Cry 6 feels like history repeating itself — a perfect showcase for how Far Cry as a whole is frozen in time.
Far Cry debuted on March 23, 2004, meaning that next week, it will have been 20 years since Jack Carver first washed up on the shore of a tropical paradise teeming with hostile mercenaries.
I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel
Luke Ross's Far Cry 6 VR Mod is now available through his Patreon, adding 6DOF support and head aiming, but no motion controls.
Non-playable characters in certain games are meme material, thanks to their foolish behavior. These are the big-budget games with the dumbest NPCs.
Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩
Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.
you can say that about all UBI games because they all feel like copy/paste type games
Sadly this just shows Ubisoft lack any creative talent and are to mentally inept to come up with anything innovative.
Its a shame there is no quality control when it comes to games or developer talent
i cant wait to read how it failed to reach potential "for not addressing LGBT issues or how orange people are the biggest evils in the world" . Actually i can, wont even bother checking the article out
Copy and paste isn't horrible but when they release them yearly it is. I liked it better when they released games 3 years in between. I also like AC but waited 2-3 years to play them after release. You get burned out
I find that most who complain about UBI games don't actually play them, they just parrot the narrative and avoid them because of that narrative. Sure they may use some elements from game to game but isn't that what most games do? Far Cry 3 4 and 5 we're all different games. Sure the spin-offs that they had where they use the same maps or similar and some elements of each game is similar but they are much different games if you actually played them.that's like saying all Mario games are the same because they copied the jump button.
