If you keep up to date with our regular Japanese chart updates, you'll have spotted that Nintendo Switch games made up the entire top ten last week. That's actually a pretty common occurrence these days, but it turns out that last week's performance was even better than we could have imagined.

This is impressive, but there is a downside for Nintendo. When the Wii was selling this impressively, so was the Nintendo DS. With the Switch, Nintendo had to combine two of their platforms into one.
Edit: I want to emphasis how great this is for Nintendo. They are changing the landscape with this hybrid much like they did with the Wii. Very few companies can pull this off. Look forward to the Steam Deck.

That's great for Nintendo. I've admittedly been less interested in the switch since the steamdeck was announced.
Big third party announcements don't really matter anymore since they'll play better on the steamdeck.
