No would ever think Valve would make: Portal, Portal 2, a controller, compact PCs, VR headsets, Half-Life: Alyx, and a handheld gaming PC before Half-Life 3.

Guitardr851028d ago

@Sciurus_vulgaris...don't forget Steam itself lol

Skuletor1028d ago

Half-Life 3, Portal 3, Left 4 Dead 3. Team Fortress 3,. Gabe is allergic to 3 or can't be bothered since that Steam money

ActualWhiteMan1028d ago

Sure it can "run" it. It'll just look like a Minecraft version

Amplitude1028d ago

The PC version is pretty well optimized, especially these days.

The game was absolute ass but I put a good 30+ hours into it at launch on PC and super rarely had any crashes or even glitches.

The game has soooo much wrong with it on gameplay alone that it still deserves the negative attention so I'll give you an agree lol

I mean, running a game at 720p is not that hard.

Kados1028d ago (Edited 1028d ago )

They are not talking about performance. This is about Proton. They are saying that they have 100% compatibility of Steam games on Linux/SteamOS.

kryteris1028d ago

Plenty hard for all the intel integrated gpu's.

And only Available in US and EU. "Valve: We care about other smaller countries."

Zeref1028d ago

I'm pretty sure they would if they could, it's just a matter of logistics. They don't have enough units to spread out and they're not exactly a hardware company.

I think the only type of games that can gets away with it would be sport games, having those sponsors ads on the side like on real life.

But don't put freaking Doritos ads in Star Wars or something, it breaks the immersion. If it is a pop-up ads, then big no.

Hofstaderman8h ago

EA can thoughtfully eff themselves.

Makersbreath27h ago

EA coming back for the crown of being perceived as the worst company in gaming.

2K Games is preparing to reveal the sequel to a "beloved franchise" at Summer Game Fest, with fans speculating that it might be Borderlands 4, BioShock 4, Mafia 4, and numerous other popular games.

Relientk7717h ago

I'm assuming it will be Borderlands 4. If it's Bioshock 4, I will be Bioshocked.

shinoff218312h ago

Xcom would be much better to reveal. Been needing some xcom 3

TheColbertinator10h ago

XCOM 3 would be my dream announcement

SpacedDuck2h ago

Please don't be a other generic Borderlands Game.

They are so boring due to the lack of innovation.
