Hard to believe that this 3rd person mode will be available throughout the whole game. That's a massive change for Far Cry if true.

Nismo4581072d ago

No.
"Players will be able to swap to third-person in guerilla camps and during certain combat situations"

nyckrazy1072d ago (Edited 1072d ago )

They also said "Luckily, Ubisoft has confirmed that a third-person mode won't be limited to just a small portion of the game because the team wants to be able to fully explore the Dani experience without limitations. " Great option in my book. brings freshness to series.

I was not even aware of this mode, wish more companies would offer this mode in FPS games.

"Cyberpunk 2077 leaves the chat"

Christopher1072d ago

99% of FPS leave chat as well as 99% of TPS.

senorfartcushion1072d ago

It’s not for the entire game.

It’s just for campsites and other smaller aspects of the game.

It’s so you can see what microtransactions you’ve bought, really, if you think about it.

Hikoran1072d ago

Quite a game changer! I will probably get it because of this. Far Cry's FP gunplay didn't feel good.

Razmiran1072d ago (Edited 1072d ago )

The gunplay is still only first person

Profchaos1072d ago

Giant change but nice to have options I always liked the far cry combat in first person but the driving I would like to see in third person like crysis.

I wonder if we will get any further cover mechanics when in third person

RaidenBlack1072d ago

Now, it'll feel even more like Just Cause

Played and enjoyed Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and 4 campaigns .

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Skuletor60d ago

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

Profchaos61d ago

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius61d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

banger8860d ago (Edited 60d ago )

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

Flawlessmic284d ago

How did redfall not make the cut.

anast284d ago (Edited 284d ago )

Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.
