Yes if you want to support the development.
No if you just want a game to play. It's incomplete, and your progress won't move over to the later/final releases.

Larian is a great developer, and it's awesome we're getting another Baldur's Gate release; but asking full retail for only a piece of a game is asking a lot from the average consumer.

If anything, they should have given option to pre-purchase, and developed a special, stand alone piece of content, consisting of a handful of hours of gameplay that highlighted the mechanics and tone of the game.
Not just the initial piece of the main game, of which your progress won't even move over to the final release.

At least we have two D&D games in early access right now,BG & Solasta. That's a very rare thing. Go over to the which is best article and comment, please. Just so I don't appear to be the only D&D CRPG fan on the planet.
Should you buy BG3 in it's current state? Hell, no! But don't do as I did, do as.... Yeah, I went against my gut instinct to wait and splashed out £49.00 quid on BG3 and a more reasonable 24.00 on Solasta. BG3 will be a masterpiece, I sure of that. Just, it isn't at the moment.

Kinda cool I guess. Seems they just allowed the camera to zoom in right on top of the characters head and then able to control movement like a fps. Makes me wonder what the game would be like if I didn't ever zoom way out and scroll over the environment to check out for enemies nearby almost constantly.
