Fixing to pick this game up. Can’t wait! Absolutely love the setting and art style.

Yodasfavoritesoda1410d ago

That’s the two best things about the game. Combat is good though story very interesting it’s a very very good game. I hope u enjoy it as much as I have

NJShadow1409d ago

It's funny, because I almost find it hard to explain what makes this game amazing. It's not just the combat, the open-world style, the INSANE beauty, or the fact that it feels more enjoyable to trek across the map as opposed to fast-travel, but it's how all of this comes together in such a beautiful, balanced way. Like.. as soon as you maybe get tired with one side of the game, it entertains you with something else, then you get bored of that and move back to what you were doing before. But the awe... the awe never gets boring. ;)

Yodasfavoritesoda1409d ago

Njshadow
I think the games best achievement is it’s just fun plus the story is good enough to keep you pushing forward. Jin is a good character to he’s not a cookie cutter action hero like some games. I’ll definitely replay this game on ps5 because I get the feeling even the pro doesn’t do this game justice

CR7JUVE18971409d ago

Why would you pick the game up?

You lived it , after all.

RpgSama1409d ago

It's like Elton John watching the movie about his autobiography, I guess you just do it out of curiosity, Lol

morganfell1409d ago

A landmark achievement. If you are alive, if you breathe, if you feel, this is a game you need to experience. It cuts not just enemies, but to the very heart of your time on this earth. Who you are, what you value, and that which you are willing to sacrifice and for whom or what.

On top of that it is layered with bravery and betrayal, heartbreak and sacrifice, broken vows, and vows that break you, visceral combat and the very art of giving one's self over to be consumed that others, that an idea may live.

bouzebbal1410d ago

Let's see if this can beat days gone and God of War as my best ps4 game.. I need to finish ff7 before I move to it!!!

Masterchief_thegoat1410d ago

Days gone is great. but got is better. And gow is better than got. God of war is one of the best playstation game of the decade.

bouzebbal1409d ago

Days Gone stands out to me being a new IP and it did so many things right. I bought it with 0 expectations and I absolutely loved it.. GoW is the massive game we all expected it to be, but the surprise factor from DG made it stand out as the best thing I played on ps4.

Germaximus1410d ago

Combat wise, Ghost of Tsushima is far better than God of War. Story wise, I haven't beaten GoT yet but I'm pretty sure it won't live up to GoW's.

Masterchief_thegoat1410d ago

I like god of war combat. So part 2 will be even better

VerminSC1409d ago

Imo days gone isn’t even in the same league as god of war, or GOT for that matter.

DrDeath1409d ago

Ya i never even finished days gone. It was so boring for me. I dunno i should give it another shot

RememberThe3571409d ago

I really enjoyed Days Gone. I think they bit off more than they could chew though. The pacing was really bad, and the ending was piecemeal at best. Game was a great time all around though. I loved roaming through the world and taking on all those hordes. Hope they sold enough to get a sequel.

I'm not surprised. Sucker Punch are an incredible studio. They've been continually successful at reinventing the style of the games they make.

Masterchief_thegoat1410d ago (Edited 1410d ago )

I’m still shock it got 83 on metacritic. I found got better than the last of us 2

LiViNgLeGaCY1410d ago

I'm super shocked too. This game just oozes quality.

UnSelf1410d ago

It’s very good. Even great. But it’s not outstanding. It is top 5 best PS4 exclusives. No question. I’m having a ball. I would say however Jedi Fallen very very slightly edges it out

GamingSinceForever1410d ago

C’mon son you can’t be serious about the Jedi Fallen game being better.

cooperdnizzle1410d ago

Jedi fallen edges it out? What game did I play? Jedi was okay had horrible tech issues and felt like half a game. It was good for what it was but not higher than a 7. Ghost is easily a 9 maybe higher. Weird comment and game to bring up.

UnSelf1409d ago (Edited 1409d ago )

I said very very slightly. Meaning at that point it all comes down to preference. The fact that Ghost has no new game + is major. Also I can’t help but to miss ALL of the small details they could’ve added to it. Imagine being able to cut the cloth that covers the makeshift tents. Or climb trees or even cut trees after becoming skilled enough. I want to interact with as much as possible. Imagine arrows getting stuck in trees. Small things like this. I’m not knocking it, I love Ghost but it’s not a Horizon or GOW caliber game. Which is fine.

GamingSinceForever1409d ago

You’re a samurai not a damn lumber jack. You said Jedi Fallen was better and now you want to bring in HZD and GOW. Stick to the subject. Lol!

RememberThe3571409d ago

Read the room lol!

But really all I'll say is, the way this game makes me feel is outstanding. That's all I need.

morganfell1409d ago

You know. Jedi Fallen Order. Hit a stormtrooper in the back with a light saber and he turns around and murders you.

Germaximus1410d ago

It should easily be a low 90 if not higher.

zumlauf141410d ago

well let's begin. The game has an "uninteresting story"(quoted by FORBES who just labeled GoT the GAME OF THE GENERATION..ironic). Generic open world mission structure. Your typical watch towers and outposts to "liberate". Lackluster animations outside of blade combat. Bad pacing due to the constant interuption of fade to black cutscenes to hide the absense of basic animations just to fast forward the scene. Horrible AI that is essentially identical to the likes of Assassins creed. No blockbuster characters. Every duel is exactly the same..even the intro cutscene is EXACTLY THE SAME EVERYTIME-i'm talking about the open world standoffs AND the cinematic duels. Lack of unique loot outside of charms and cosmetics. Every fox den IS THE SAME. Every SHRINE is the same. EVERY BAMBOO STRIKE is the same. EVERY HAIKU interaction is the same. Once you've done ANY of those exploration sequences, you've seen them all. The animations don't change. The only thing that's differentiates them is the small amount of platforming you do to get to them. But the platforming is literally barebones and not enjoyable. It'a auto locking/aiming platforming that they so obviously adopted from horizon amd GOW. Something those two games NEVER got praise for. Lifeless npc's you can't interact with outside of your random fetch quest speak. They don't even achnowledge you most of the time because they're stuck in their animations within the settlements. The SAME animations they do in every settlement. The npc's don't react/live according to the weather/day & night cycle like npcs do in games such as RDR2 and TW3. Outside of its visuals(which don't even touch the level of tlou2/gow) the world itself is lifeless and that mostly had to do with the lifeless population and droney AI. This is NOTHING new to a sucker punch game. Every game since infamous1 their games have averaged around an 84. This was to be expected from a dev who had yet to evolve. THAT'S why it scored sn 83. If you liked it more than tlou2, that's fine. but dont act surprised on why it scored less than not only tlou2..but, gow, rdr2, tw3, bloodborne etc...ALL better games as a whole

1409d ago
RazzerRedux1409d ago

lol....sounds to me like you've compiled a list of negatives you have read from various reviews or some youtube videos.

"THAT'S why it scored sn 83."

And then there is that. You are pretending 83 is somehow a bad score? I don't agree with the author that is "one of the best in the history of the PS4", but it is still a damn good game. And I form that opinion from actually playing it.

GamingSinceForever1409d ago

But unlike TLOU2 the user scores of this game on Metacritic is at a 93. Hmmm!

Jin_Sakai1409d ago (Edited 1409d ago )

It’s underrated. That’s why the userscore is an incredible 93. Pretty much the best rated PS4 game ever.

Masterchief_thegoat1409d ago

That why I was shocked. It got 83. And the last us 2 94. Where got is clearly the better game

imtiyaz61409d ago

The game just needed a little but more polish to be perfect but I guess Sony didn’t want this to come out with the ps5. It would’ve easily hit 90+ if SP were given a bit more time. I bet their next game will score a 90+ easy.

Playing this at a locked 175 fps on an OLED ultra wide at max settings is truly awe inspiring. A great way to replay this classic.

Psychonaut859d ago

Sweet! Glad to see it make the jump. Hopefully the PSN requirement doesn’t put too many people off. I think it’s only if you plan to play the Legends mode. It’s bullshit, but at least you can access the main game without making a PSN profile if that bothers you. I know on PC everyone’s sick of everyone trying to push their own launchers and shit.

Deeeeznuuuts9d ago

It's really not that big of a deal, PC players just love to complain, my friend has quite a few launches and never once complained, really no issues at all 😂😂😂 28514;

Goodguy019d ago (Edited 9d ago )

Indeed. It's for the trophies and online. I just hope Sony doesn't require ps plus subscription at some point for their online games. PC gamers have dealt with 3rd party launchers forever, just a bunch of silly complaints, nothing different.

just_looken8d ago

@dee

Right how dare those 180 countries that had this game listed a month ago but no longer do complain about a forced new regulation that is blocking the sale of the game even in japan.

Then you got the fact many countries need a goverment id to check if your legally a adult.

I have a psn account that is not linked to my steam account as having any form of vpn/antivirus and even something like discord can break there psn TOS. If your psn account gets banned via pc bs then your entire consoles online are bricked as do too them needing real information we all only have one account now.

FinalFantasyFanatic8d ago

I don't mind having a few launchers, just don't make me log into it all the time, it's astounding that some developers still persist with having their own launchers.

just_looken8d ago

Its a greed deal

Alot of them wanted to leave steam so they would not pay that 30% charge but then there overall number of sales dropped opps so now there back but with there launcher as a leach because all these games have attached bullshit like ubi points or capcom rewards/stat tracking even the activation launcher that needs to be a thing for cheaters/stat track i think even trophies to a extent.

Just be glad we do not have a sony launcher as it would no doubt be fighting rockstar for most unsecured worst launcher on pc.

anast9d ago

So we are lovin' PSN now? How fickle the herd is.

Aloymetal9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

Some people love to complain but if it wasn't for Sony themselves they wouldn't be playing these amazing 1st party games on their PeeZees.

HankHill9d ago

Cry more while your precious plastic box keeps losing exclusives.

anast9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

As long as your not serious, welcome to the party.

This is fun. My turn.

Yeah, all 10 people that can actually afford a decent PC isn't much. This is why they are drip feeding PC gamers because they'll eat up 10 year old games like they're new, and that's all 10 of them. Consoles gamers already wore that shoe, you all are getting leftovers.

Your turn

Number1TailzFan9d ago

@ anast uhh, looks like the video is showing last gen (soon to be 2 gen old) GPUs running it pretty well to me? I mean if you can't keep your PC decently current then that's hardly the devs fault now is it?

Shiore2u8d ago

@anast

You really need to stop trying so hard, it's getting downright embarrassing. Brand loyalty is a stupid endeavor, accept it, learn from it and move on.

FinalFantasyFanatic8d ago

@anast,
A 7-year-old GPU can trade blows with a PS5 in performance, I don't think it's going to be that hard to match/beat the PS5, especially if you look at the second hand market for parts.

I guess the ps5 was holding this game back.

Has Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut PC sales earned around £18 Million in its first week on Steam?

CG writes: The question we’re asking is, has Sucker Punch’s just released stealth-action game Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC earned over £18 million in revenue on release week via the Steam platform alone (also available via the Epic Games Store)?

"also available via the Epic Games Store"

I'm pretty sure Epic Games Store is available in over 190 countries and 30 territories. So anyone that said that this game was not available in them was just lying.

I'm so shocked by games journalists and fauxragers lying. Really shocked. I do pity them though. I can't imagine going through life with such anger... at everything.

bunt-custardly10d ago

Hehe, you do know how much PC players whine about having multiple store platforms when really all they want is Steam to run a monopoly. Thank ye heavens for Gog and Epic.

Giblet_Head9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

When Steam is one of the very few actually trying with it's feature set it's a hard sell to get people to want something on a storefront that could care less about improving it's service. GoG is another exception, but Epic, which is still missing many features that have been on Steam for years like every other publisher just half-ass it, so they've earned and continue to maintain their poor reception and presumably act confused come every quarterly report for failure to understand the market they're in. Who really wants to invest in something that actively instills little faith?

bunt-custardly9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

Interesting answer from co-pilot when asked what are the differences between EGS and Steam.

Copilot
The Epic Game Store (EGS) and Steam are both digital distribution platforms for PC games, but they have some key differences:

Game Selection: Steam has a larger selection of games, including both indie and AAA titles, and has been established longer, since 20031. EGS, while newer, offers a curated selection of games, including timed exclusives and titles not available on other platforms1.

Revenue Split: EGS offers a more favorable revenue split for developers, taking only a 12% cut compared to Steam’s 20-30%, which can be a big draw for game publishers1.

Free Games: EGS is known for its regular giveaways of free games, which has been a major feature since its launch in December 20181. Steam also offers free games, but less frequently1.

User Interface: Steam provides a more feature-rich experience with user reviews, community discussions, game streaming, and non-gaming software. EGS has a more streamlined interface, focusing on a simpler user experience1.

Social Features: Both platforms offer social features like friends lists and chat functionality, but Steam’s community features are more extensive, including groups, forums, and user profiles1.

Exclusivity: EGS has secured exclusive deals for certain games, making them available only on their platform for a limited time before they can be purchased elsewhere1.

These are some of the main differences that set the two stores apart. Each platform has its own strengths and caters to different preferences and needs.

Co-Pilot forgot to mention: Both offer software, but Steam is very much more in-tune with VR with its Steam VR integration.

Giblet_Head8d ago (Edited 8d ago )

@bunt-custardly
I wouldn't take AI as gospel, especially a corporate one that ends most every answer with meaningless neutral ambiguity. You're better off actually talking to humans that use either and have something to lose, be it time, energy or financial investment. Personal experiences AI can't relate to.
