Definitely. Interested in Concrete Genie as well, but The Outer Worlds is priority and my only "must play game" until Cyberpunk 2077 next year.

I think we will have to find out the deal with private division/take two. Just like gearbox owns the borderlands yet 2k publishes every game under take two

It wouldn't surprise me if this up stays with take two or at least come to other platforms. Owning a ip is different depending on the publishing deal that was in place before ms came in

So far we have nothing official about the deal they have with private division. Like I said in my original comment they do own the IP as a developer but these publishing deals are weird sometimes

Also keep in mind a company is letting you keep the IP and only doing one game and paying for development. Don't make much sense usually deals like these have more than one games. Also that's when Shawn layden said when sunset overdrive was brought up he said they would have to read the contract. I am not saying it's one way or another all I am saying these things are usually not straight up

Private Division has the publishing rights for the first game. Leonard Boyarsky of Obsidian, now a Microsoft employee has stated that MS acquired The Outer Worlds but MS has been supportive of letting them continue working with Private Division and more importantly Matt Booty stated that they want Outer Worlds to be a huge franchise for them going forward probably on par with Halo and Gears

Microsoft says its new studios will "focus on making games for our platforms," with no further plans to release more Xbox exclusives on PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch.

"As these new studios transitioned in, we were aware of some existing commitments to other platforms and will honor them. However, going forward these new studios will focus on making games for our platforms. We have no plans to further expand our exclusive first party games to other consoles. We continue to believe deeply in cross play and progression of games with the right flexibility for developers to insure a fair and fun experience."

I've played trails in the sky 1 - 2 and Zero/Azure in anticipation for cold steel 3. I'm extremely glad i did, it gives everything so much more context. Not to mention payoff

Outer Worlds - I will probably end up getting it on Game Pass.

Trails of Cold Steel 3 - I have the first two on Steam, and it is possible that I will get the third one on PS, but I might just wait till it comes to PC.

Concrete Genie - This game could be very interesting.
