PlayStation Classic Had Better Include These 15 Games or We Riot

PlayStation Classic will be a misnomer if it didn’t include these essential games. With Final Fantasy VII, Ridge Racer 4, Tekken 3, Wild Arms, and Jumping Flash already announced, here's 15 more.

It should be the 25 games that best define the PS1 generation. And I say 25 because of the 25th anniversary of the PS1.

Its impossible to boil down the PS1 experience to 25 games. They should have gone with 40-50 at the very least. The best thing they could have done is give it an internet connection and allow people to add games via psn.

Dino Crisis was an underrated gem of a game. Really diversified the Resi formula.

I'm most excited to see how these games hold up. We haven't really had a classic console with polygonal textures. The NES and SNES hold up well because for the most part, they're 2D or rather, not in a 3D space. A lot of PS One games were the first venture into 3D space for many companies so I'm stoked to see if they still work today.

Are you brain dead? You need a Dualshock for Metal Gear Solid and a memory card. You won't be seeing Metal Gear unless Sony releases the Dual Shock shortly after as an option.

My guess is next year we will get a PSone classic also with Dual Shock Analog Controller, with games like Ape Escape.

Given that it has a PEGI 18 rating in Europe and Aus/NZ its also rated R18 would indicate something like GTA or Resident Evil may be on there.

However MGS is also R18 in PEGI...

The two most important games got skipped and that is Xenogears and Dino Crisis

Chrono Cross was chosen instead of Xenogears, purely because the third act in Xeno is straight-up unfinished. I really enjoyed Dino Crisis back in the day, but it's not as seminal as Parasite Eve, Silent Hill or Resi.
