Microsoft Acquires Ninja Theory

Ninja Theory, the studio behind Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has been acquired by the tech giant Microsoft. This literally means for story-oriented games for Xbox.

Which I love, so: that's wonderful!

Concertoine2184d ago (Edited 2184d ago )

Game was pretty good, just shouldn't have been shoved into the DMC IP

One thing no one can deny: Ninja Theory's artists are among the best.

Ninja theory will be an excellent single party studio for Xbox.

BiggerBoss2184d ago

The Ninja Theory announcement was the biggest thing of the conference, and that's pretty bad...

STFU, that game was awesome... They also made heavenly sword and Hellblade...this is a huge huge huge acquisition, one Sony should have done, especially with how they've courted Sony over the years...

I congratulate MS... This is a master stroke of an acquisition. I'm just sad NT games won't come to PlayStation after Hellblade. 😭😭😭 28557;

babadivad2184d ago

DmC is was trash to begin with IMHO. That's minority thinking around here I know.

Spurg2184d ago

And the recently critically hellblade.

The Wood2184d ago

That acquisition was a big win for ms. Smart move.

TheVigilanteCode2183d ago

DmC Devil May Cry was a fantastic action game, and is the only pure action game that a western studio has ever developed. Ninja Theory got flak that they didn't deserve (apart from the mocking of classic characters during their PR for the game and contemplating them using homophobic references in one of their interior meetings).

The major disappointment for the fans with DmC was just that the in-house Capcom team and their original franchise, were insanely superior in complexity in gameplay compared to anything in the world and only a handful of japanese developers even can match their quality in action games standards. There was literally nothing wrong with DMC4. So, they wanted this game that we're seeing today, back in 20012/2013.

NecrumOddBoy2183d ago

Acquisitions are all good but look at Rare and how bad MS ruined them. Ninja Theory better not get looped into making an online/MP tactical shooter.

richie007bond2183d ago

Funny how when they made heavenly sword they were gods amongst PS3 fanboys lol

MadLad2183d ago

It was only trash to the whiners who are against change in any way. Called something else, 90% of the babies would have been happy with the game, and saying it was a rip-off of the same game they claimed they ruined with it.

Some of us thought it the superior product.

What announcements have "killed it" for you?

When buying Ninja Theory is the only exciting thing, then you know you have a problem.

Yeah, because Playground as a Microsoft´s first party studio is not exciting. /S

I told fanboys that Microsoft would acquire Playground Games and they got mad because they were thinking their new Open World AAA Action RPG was comming to Playstation.

And now the crow is served. ;)

Sharky2312183d ago

This is the lamest comment I have ever read. Dude, PS4 fans are smart enough to know PG makes games for Xbox Only.. I wasn't even surprised when Phil said they acquired PG. So stop with those Fake news ..

Also the deal between NT, Compulsion with MS is that they get Full autonomy in what they do.. So let's see how it Pans out.

UltraNova2183d ago

Hey Obscure, dude you need to lay off the good stuff for a while...

fiveby92183d ago

MS will likely ruin any studio's creativity. They are not a creative force. Rather they are a business software company looking at trends and trying to capitalize. MS buying a new studio is like people who buy new houseplants. They look good or a short while but eventually those without a green thumb end up killing the plants.

r2oB2183d ago (Edited 2183d ago )

@ obscure Observer

You mean kind of like how crow was served when you were doing damage control about the crackdown 3 delay, and a day later it was confirmed? How'd that taste?

Anyway, in topic. I don't think anyone is suprised by the acquisition of playground games and undead labs as they have been dealing with Microsoft as second party studios for a while now. Ninja Theory is a good acquisition in my opinion since I really like their games, I think they are talented in their craft.

I personally liked Microsoft's E3 conference for what it was, a nice showcase of games and a message to their fans about their future commitments, albiet a pretty long ways away. I also understand why people may have their reservations since the conference didn't showcase the more immediate future for current Xbox gamers (2018 and 2019), which is magnified by the fact the last few years have been pretty lackluster exclusive wise. The show highlights where third party content and content pertinent to the next Xbox.

RIP ninja theory,

It's also sad they barely have any games to announce so they announce studios they have bought instead. I mean seriously?

Only new "exclusives" announced are Halo and Forza so far. I wonder if they will go for the trifecta and announce Gears.

Sigh

AceBlazer132184d ago

And they hit the trifecta

TheProblem2184d ago

Yeah. Only the announced triple gears. Is that a trifecta within a trifecta haha.

So the only new "exclusive" announcements are Halo, Forza, and Gears Gears Gears.

It wouldn't surprise me if their new studios will just work on Halo and Gears spinoffs

conanlifts2184d ago (Edited 2184d ago )

@gottabjimmyb
"Man this level of salt is sad. MS had an amazing conference and they expanded their first party like every has been saying they need to."

They barely showed any new gameplay and nothing for 2018, plus no release windows. In addition the bit that makes me think i am done with ms after this gen is gears of war. Three new gears games, great news right? No gears 5 xbox and pc, gears pop ios only, gears tactics ( xcom like) is a pc exclusive mo xbox. Every xbox and gears fan should be letting ms know this is unacceptable. Play anywhere should work both ways. When they lack games they should not be making exclusives for windows or ios. Now according to my ms annual report i am in the top 1% of gamers for playtime and achievements, so this is not a fanboy teply. I hope the community joins in with their disapproval online direct to ms.

Agreed. Ninja Theory will be missed on my PS, but I generally buy all the consoles anyway. This gen I bought the XBO, but got rid of it this year.

I look forward to what Ninja Theory can produce with hopefully a higher budget. MS bought them to have their own God of War level single player game. We’ll see if Ninja Theory can do it with a large enough budget.

The multiplatform showcase was stellar, everything else was your usual MS fluf...

conanlifts2184d ago

Yes with pc and ios exclusive gears games that are not going to Xbox.

CloudStrife9002184d ago

@Septic I feel like a deer in the headlights posting any praise for Xbox in this thread, looking at the like/dislike ratio for anyone that does the same, but I completely agree.

We've been hard on MS this gen, but their E3 was easily their best in a great number of years. I don't think we'll see a massive change this gen, but with Phil talking about the future of Xbox, that work on the next Xbox is under way, the five new studios and everything in between, it's clear that next gen is where Xbox will try to shine at their brightest.

Baza2183d ago

Hellblade is so great because Ninja Theory’s creative freedom. Hope MS doesn’t limit that. Look at Rare, some of the best classics in gaming before MS bought them. Then we get SOT after 5 years of development. Great conference though

Best announcement of the conference so far IMO. That's what Xbox needed. Some sort of evidence that they are truly investing in new AAA single player experiences.

SpringHeeledJack2184d ago

They needed to start 5 of their own studios, not buy up 5 which they will trash just like Rare. The future is just a handful of giant mega developers controlling the gaming market.

DJStotty2183d ago

@spring

Explain the difference? 5 studios bought or created is still 5 aquired

Neonridr2183d ago

@SpringHeeledJack - Rare wasn't even Rare when MS bought them. You have to remember that most people had moved on long before the acquisition. So to actually blame Rare's downfall on MS is just silly.

Vegamyster2184d ago

I'm just excited to hear what Playgrounds studios other game is, they said they were working on a open-world action RPG and they were rumored to be doing a new Fable early in the year.

ArchangelMike2184d ago

Too right. The acquisition of Ninja Theory?! Did anyone see that coming? I thought Tameem Antonaides was waxing lyrical about how they enjoyed their independence etc etc. I guess when a truck load of cash wakes you up in the morning...

showtimefolks2184d ago

true they wanted to stay independent but also went through a lot to make their last game

Neonridr2183d ago

well there is zero financial obligations now. MS foots the bill on every project. I am sure to some, that is a big sigh of relief.

OffRoadKing2184d ago

Buy a studio like Playground Games that was already making "exclusive" games for them? Ah ok.

starchild2184d ago

Umm but isn't that exactly what Sony did? Most of the best studios Sony own were previously independent studios that had made games for Sony platforms and that Sony decided to buy. Naughty Dog, Guerrilla Games, Media Molecule, etc are examples of that. So why are you trying to downplay it or criticize it when Microsoft does it?

This is what I've been hearing people say Microsoft needed to do. Now that they have they're getting flak for it. I'm convinced that a lot of you are such fanatics that it doesn't matter what Microsoft does you'll find a way to twist it into a negative. And I'm no big fan of Xbox. Don't even own one. But I know right from wrong. I always strive to be logical and fair. Something which it seems a lot of the fanatics on this site are incapable of doing.

Kiwi662184d ago (Edited 2184d ago )

So what's wrong with them buying a studio that has worked well with them as it worked for Sony

Gazondaily2184d ago

@stepchild

Exactly.

"This is what I've been hearing people say Microsoft needed to do. Now that they have they're getting flak for it."

Goes to show that no matter what they do some will always hate on them. We saw it with the new hardware and now this.

Neonridr2183d ago

@starchild - very well said. They recognized a talented studio and decided it was in their best interests to ensure that they were making good content for their hardware only.

And it's exactly like what Sony did when they bought ND, Guerrilla Games, etc.

OffRoadKing2183d ago

@starchild

The point in them buying studios was to save them from the lower console sales and lackluster games they have been putting out, if they have that problem with Playground Games essentially already exclusive to them what did throwing money at them do to improve anything, the answer is, nothing. Why are you trying to act like this is a bigger deal than it really is?

2183d ago
+ Show (3) more repliesLast reply 2183d ago
notachance2184d ago

yeah but it seems to me like they'll save all the new IPs for next-gen instead of this gen

Tony-A2183d ago

I think this is without a doubt something that they needed to do. I think it’s safe to say that Xbox One as a leading console is out of the question this generation (with so much talk about an impending next generation in 2 years or less) but this is a positive footnote from Microsoft to it’s fan base. This could mean the next Xbox will launch with stellar titles in the pipeline.

Obviously just outright buying studios doesn’t mean much from a quality perspective, but it shows dedication to delivering what gamers want.

Overall I thought the conference was very good. It’s exactly what I wanted to see from them after such a rough console cycle. Hopefully they can deliver on the promises and invest in actual development of great experiences and not just stand there and say “hey, we have money so we bought stuff”. From my experience in supporting both Microsoft and Sony, there seems to be a clear difference in the way that they treat development studios. Microsoft will buy a studio and just hope it does well, while Sony has shown in their record that they invest heavily on actual development.

Yup Microsoft did what everyone wanted, good to see them investing in studios. It was definitely the highlight of their show because it shows they are committed to the brand.

NeoGamer2322184d ago

Yup, and they weren't a bunch of junk studios...

Playground games have nailed the Forza Horizon arcade racers
Ninja Theory, behind Hellblade, DMC reboot, PS3 exclusive Heavenly Sword, and Enslaved
The Initiative - A brand new studio
Compulsion got lots of kudos for We Happy Few
Undead Labs - State of Decay!

jeromeface2184d ago Show
yomfweeee2183d ago

Undead Labs last release was junk.
Compulsion games is an indie who hasn't done much.
Playground already pretty much worked for MS, same for Undead.
A new studio who has done nothing.

So 2 unproven and 1 who hasn't done anything great lately. Not junk, but nothing to brag about.

Neonridr2183d ago

@jeromeface - well nobody asked you, did they? :P

fiveby92183d ago

I wouldn't exactly call that list of studios an 'A' list. MS problems are deeper than their checkbook can fix. It's a culture problem. But every E3 they keep poking at the dwindling fire which is their customer base stoking the small flame. Guarantee we'll hear the same cast of characters say "this is the year MS turns it around". I've been hearing this for years now. Who really believes in MS anymore? They are a shadow of their former self.

NeoGamer2322182d ago

@yomfweeee
I am not sure all gamers feel the same way you do.

Undead labs State of Decay 1 and 2 are good games. Most open world zombie games do not rate high to begin with and Undead was an indie with limited resources playing in an arena with Capcom Vancouver and Techland funded through Warner Brothers. They needed a first party or big third party to pick them up so they can make a AAA game. Anyone thinking Undead was going to make something that is priced less and made by an indie better than the big studios is delusional.

Playground could do anything they wanted. They chose to be part of MS. That speaks to where they think things are going.

Compulsion is a newer studio for sure, but buying them now, is much cheaper then waiting for them to have a great release.

The Initiative shows a commitment on first party and building first party. First party studios starting from scratch take many years to build a big game. This is a future investment.

And nobody can under sell Ninja Theory. They have made very solid hack n slash games. Something MS has really never had a good exclusive in. To me that was huge because not only is it genre they haven't really played in, it is also what I call a Japanese centric genre. Meaning most of the great games in the genre are shipped under Japanese publishers.

True these studios won't be shipping many games in the next 1-3 years, but beyond that they will be shipping at least 1-2 games a year. I doubt many people were looking at MS to have much out of the ordinary within the next year on the first party side.

showtimefolks2184d ago

i am happy for NT man you should check out their behind the scene of their last game. They had to borrow equipment from companies and get donations from companies just to make their game because they didn't have a publisher. they deserve a AAA publisher backing them up

Sevir2184d ago

Theyve always wanted to create big budget games and the likes this ensures they survive. I'm shocked it was MS and not Sony that bought them. Considering how tight they've been with Sony. I thought for sure Sony would have bought them.

rainslacker2184d ago (Edited 2184d ago )

Most surprising announcement of the conference(watching it near the end while Spencer makes it out that MS is leading the future by making a streaming service....go figure).

Kind of sucks unless MS steps it up big time with Xbox though, because I wouldn't buy another Xbox until they restore my faith that they care. Buying up studios is a good step, but given Spencers recent comments, I'm not expecting them to really go all in on the kinds of games that Ninja Theory is good for.

Even this conference, while quite entertaining when you take console preference out of the equation....and even one of the best they've had in years.....it just isn't really what they needed in terms of quelling a lot of the criticisms they've been getting, because most of the stuff we see is still multi-plat. There is very little in the conference that would make me want to invest in an Xbox if I didn't already have one, particularly if I already had a PS4.

Anyhow, given how NT struggled to get funding for their last game, I can see why they would want the stability of being with a publisher. I just hope that Xbox gamers support their games....which they might because they'll get that exclusive bump. And of course, the PC gamer already seems willing to support their games, so no real worries there.

I wish them the best though.

Obscure_Observer2183d ago

@rainslacker

No comments on AAA games day one on Game Pass? What about that indie/free to play playground theory of yours?

OC_MurphysLaw2183d ago

Completely disagree. This was and is the kind of conference MS needed to have. They clearly showed their commitment to building games internally and even made reference to the future of Xbox hardware to answer any doubts if there would be a "next" xbox. There are tons of games to play on the system both now and coming. The message from the conference was simple, straight forward and on point. If you are investing in the Xbox ecosystem you can rest assured your buy in today is being supported for not only the short term but also the coming years as well with their investment in studios and hardware.

Now, is today's message going to swing the tide and suddenly make MS the industry leader this generation. No, and honestly given where they were at there really wasn't going to be that message. What they did was strengthen their position and eased fears and doubts from those not looking through a fanboy lense. Meaning if you are individual that eats / sleeps Playstation then this conference won't have done anything for you or moved a needle for you. If you are on the other side of that fence and eat / sleep xbox then this was a great event. And if you were more in the middle and have considered Xbox but maybe were holding off because you were concerned about direction then this was a message was on point, xbox is making the right moves for now and tomorrow so you can buy in and there are things like Gamepass that are going to give you tremendous value to start your experience with.

rainslacker2183d ago

@obscure

No, no comment on those things. Not only is if off topic, I've expressed my skepticism in the past about it, and nothing changed because of this conference. Gears has yet to be confirmed for game pass day one. And I hate to say it, but I have a feeling that the new Halo is going to be an online only game, where MS is going to focus on the GaaS model in a MP only type of product. If I'm wrong, time will tell.

@Dlacy

I don't completely disagree, but I think that despite MS addressing the criticism of them not building their first party, the rest of the conference really didn't change anything in terms of other criticisms. I will give them a bit more benefit of the doubt going forward, because they wouldn't have acquired or created 5 studios in the last year without a plan in place to remain relevant, but at the same time, until they can show what will come of all that, I'm going to remain skeptical of MS as a whole. Spencer has spent too much time saying good things while not actually fixing things to just gush over what they had at the conference. It's a boy who cried wolf scenario.

Going forward, I'll back off that particular criticism of them, but I will remain stalwart in my belief that these acquisitions are not going to bear any fruit for this generation. To that end, I don't feel I was wrong in my prior criticism, and I won't be so willing to give MS my money until they build a track record. Promises from them don't mean anything anymore. Show don't tell. I said it years ago when cloud was talked up, it's more relevant today.

And yes. MS is starting to make some of the right moves, and good for them. I won't dwell on the past if their future is good, but their future hasn't arrived yet, and it's hard to take some of the Xbox fan boys seriously since they're acting like what MS showed promise for yesterday somehow invalidates all the prior criticism.

To that end, since my biggest criticism of them was indeed their first party offerings, or lack thereof, I will probably not be so critical going forward. For the time being though, I can't say that I am satisfied with my Xbox purchase this gen, and it's unlikely I'll be eager to jump on their next one.

Obscure_Observer2181d ago

@rainslacker

"Gears has yet to be confirmed for game pass day one."

Moving the goalposts again, hu? First, it was about AAA games avaliable Day One on Game Pass. And now that Forza Horizon 4 (a AAA game) is confirmed, it´s about GEARS? You should be ashamed. Smdh.

"And I hate to say it, but I have a feeling that the new Halo is going to be an online only game, where MS is going to focus on the GaaS model in a MP only type of product."

A MP (online only) focused game which focus on Master Chief? Really? No offence but you used to more clever on your negative predictions/remarks regarding Xbox.

rainslacker2180d ago

Forza is a bi-yearly franchise divided up between two franchises. They aren't building a full game between each game, they're just adding on to what they had before. Thus, the budget isn't AAA.

I'm not moving any goal posts. You brought it up, and Gears wasn't confirmed for game pass day one. Gears looks like it'll be a 50-60 million dollar production. If they put it on game pass, then great, but they haven't announced it yet. Why is that? They have no problem doing it for any other game they put on there. Seems kind of odd doesn't it?

And yeah, I have a feeling they threw in Master Chief into some sort of MP game. Halo Infinity? Come on. The title itself leads one to believe it will be playable for a long time. Just like Activision tried to do with COD:IW. If he's not in the game, then MS just threw his name in there to get people excited.

Again, I may be wrong, but I base my logic on practical reasons which I already spelled out.

Every PlayStation Studios game available now on Windows PC

Windows Central writes: "Many PlayStation Studios games that are ported to PC get dedicated PS5 DualSense support, which allows users to experience haptic feedback and adaptive trigger support without actually having to own a PS5.

According to Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, it's still the company's intent to launch the bigger single-player games on PS5 first, before later bringing the games to PC. This might not be the case for multiplayer games however, which are considered okay to launch simultaneously on console and PC."

Former Activision studio Toys for Bob partners with Xbox to publish its first game as an indie

Former Activision studio Toys for Bob partners with Xbox to publish its first game as an indie. This is something of a homecoming, as Microsoft owns Activision.

Very very early in development. Still, fantastic news!

Let´s GO!!!

Lightning772d ago

I guess.

How come they didnt either let them go or sell Tango and others to another publisher? Not saying Ubisoft, EA would be any better. (Capcome would of treated them right )

At least it wouldn't be MS of all ppl destroying them.

MS really should let go Tango go like they did TFB here.

darthv722d ago (Edited 2d ago )

one was under Bethesda (Tango) the other under Activision (TFB). Clearly each one handled the separations of their subordinates differently.

"How come they didnt either let them go or sell Tango and others to another publisher? Not saying Ubisoft, EA would be any better. (Capcome would of treated them right )"

Perhaps because Zenimax and ABK handles such matters differently based on their own internal policies as "independent" publishers.

Whoever, chances are it´s simply because MS didn´t wanted Tango or Austin to be acquired by competitors and develop new bangers for them, giving MS a bad rep in a possible future. Which could also be the reason why they ensured an exclusive partnership with TFB and its new game, before anyone else.

Sad and disgusting. But it is what it is.

MS has a bad rep now because those studios are no more. I rather them sell the studio continue to make multiplatform releases, while MS continues to focus on whatever they're doing. If they didn't want Tango around they should separated from them or sell them to, like they did TFB.

It's inexcusable, they have options on how to handle studios they don't want anymore with killing jobs. Not just MS but the rest of the industry also.

Sad and disgusting sure how many will get shut down next year or this year even?

I don't trust MS decisions and motivations at this point. You have to admit they make one dumb move after another.

Imo, MS separated from TFB because they didn´t had a game associated with Xbox yet, unlike Tango.

"I don't trust MS decisions and motivations at this point. You have to admit they make one dumb move after another."

Fair enough. It was indeed an epic dumb move from them to close Tango.

Still, all to be forgotten, like always have. This is not the first time a big publisher shuts down a beloved and/or successful studio out of nowhere and certainly won´t be the last. Do you remember Lionhead? Do you remember Evolution Studios? Yeah... both were beloved studios and yet, those companies kill those studios in q blink of an eye and got away with it.

anast1d 20h ago (Edited 1d 20h ago )

The studio boss made some money from this transaction. Once the game releases, the studio will get chopped up.

Manages to buy their freedom especially after all the shit Microsoft has been doing with its studios lately

...

Goes right back to them as partners.

Okaaaaaay...

darthv722d ago

Id venture a guess that TFB working directly with MS was a better outcome than working through Activision to get to MS.

VersusDMC2d ago

From the article...

"Toys for Bob spun out as an indie back in February after Microsoft instituted sweeping layoffs that impacted 86 employees, which was more than half of the staff"

I doubt those 86 employees enjoyed the Microsoft experience over Activisions.

Inverno2d ago

MS shuts down studios because of lack of resources and then helps these guys by giving em resources. Also MS is what forced them to buy their freedom in the first place? What kind of logic 😂

Chevalier2d ago

The best thing is that the company that is worth $3 trillion and owns the company instead of Xbox lacks resources. How the hell does a company worth $3 trillion making a measly $70 billion purchase they 'can't' support. Lol

romulus231d 16h ago

Stockholm syndrome, maybe?

BlindMango1d 11h ago

The reason they would need to "partner with Microsoft" is simply to make a game that's part of a franchise that Microsoft owns. Meaning they're probably going to make a new Spyro game - they're still an independent studio, but are making a game in a franchise that Microsoft owns. It's kind of like Remedy partnering with Rockstar to be able to make the Max Payne remakes.

shinoff21831d 11h ago

It was probably the deal to get released from Ms

Xbox’s gaming division seems to still function as 3 semi-autonomous sub-divisions, Xbox Studios, Bethesda and ABK. The three main sub-divisions can seemingly shut down or build studios and set up partnerships independently. This would explain why Bethesda can recently shutdown studios, while ABK spins off one studio, while building a new one. Plus, Toys for Bob could be spun off by ABK, only to immediately re-partner with Microsoft.

Chevalier2d ago

That's absolutely 💯 BS. Any sane 'autonomous' company would NOT put their games on Gamepass day 1 like COD will lose probably billions.

Also they're all under Xbox game studios so any autonomy is an illusion.

PhillyDonJawn1d 17h ago

No, I'm sure MS can and does step in when they want something done specifically but I'm also sure they let them also work independently

shinoff21831d 11h ago

I highly highly doubt this. Ms controls all. The guys aren't gonna be allowed to just shut something down like that without approval. No way

Elda2d ago

Either a kiddie game or something uninteresting.

Obscure_Observer1d 23h ago

Don´t worry. You won´t be playing it anyway since their next game will possible be a next gen Xbox console game.

Elda1d 21h ago (Edited 1d 21h ago )

Don't worry about my comments.

PhillyDonJawn1d 17h ago

Right probably something like astrobot

romulus231d 16h ago

Nah he said "uninteresting", lots of people are interested in Astro Bot.

Elda1d 14h ago

Never Astro Bot. Astro Bot looks better than any exclusive released on XB this entire generation & believe there hasn't been much.

Asplundh1d 14h ago

Crash 4 was good, so I'm hopeful.

PhillyDonJawn1d 12h ago

Hey you said that about SOT and looks like many ppl on PS is playing it. You also found bugsnax interesting ffs your opinion hold no weight lol.

Elda1d 12h ago (Edited 1d 12h ago )

Bugsnax is BS, tried it & quickly deleted it. It's a game that fits right on Gamepass. PS5 owners that are probably playing the boring SOT you could count on one hand. LMAO!!...don't try to come for me.

PhillyDonJawn1d 10h ago

So you admit bugsnax interested you enough to try? 😂 someone gotta call you out on the foolishness.

What Happens to Your Steam Account When You Die?

The Outerhaven writes: While Steam has come out recently, stating that Steam accounts can't be transferred, we need to think about it since we all will eventually kick the bucket. But if Valve is denying transferring accounts, what can be done? Plenty, actually.

It goes to my kids because I gave them the passwords.

To Steam: Missio has a song that conveys my feelings about you stealing my purchase after I die. It's called "Middle Fingers"

shinoff21832d ago

Pretty much. My son knows my info.

Abear212d ago

Yeah worrying about digital ownership when you’re on the other side of the grass seems a little strange, but also on brand for these millennial journalists to worry about.

qalpha2d ago

I'm sure Keith will be happy to hear he's a millennial journalist.

Goodguy012d ago

I suppose if I have kids, I'd just give em my account details by retirement age. If I die young then...idk lol.

CrimsonWing692d ago

Yea, I mean just give someone the password to your account. Is that difficult to do or something? Like, I’m legit asking because I don’t know.

anast2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

It's not difficult but It's against the policy. If they find out, they will lock the account permanently.

CrimsonWing692d ago

Ah ok, I had a feeling there was something like that. It seems kind of weird that you can’t just hand your account over to a family member or friend and let them take over the account.
