Using a raspberry pi, kind of misleading title.

Cobra9512175d ago

More like a flat-out lie than just misleading. It may be running through the NES display hardware, but certainly not on the system. The 8-bit NES can't handle 16-bit code.

IanTH2175d ago (Edited 2175d ago )

Lol, isn't that a bit like saying "my unmodified home theater receiver can play PS4 and PC games"? It happens to have display information passing through it, but none of the processing is happening on board...

nowitzki20042175d ago

@instantstupor

You wont believe what kind of things my TV could do lol

letsa_go2175d ago (Edited 2175d ago )

Is this any different than the SNES using a DSP or FX chip though? Or the Genesis using the SVP chip or 32X addon?

Muzikguy2174d ago

Many headlines these days or misleading or flat out lying to people. I don't see how they can keep getting away with it, or in this case get approved.

KwietStorm_BLM2175d ago

That's gotta be the worst clickbait yet.

RainbowBrite2175d ago

Don't listen to them Hacker, they don't know what they are saying, and keep doing the Lord's work

Skuletor2175d ago

Hacking is modifying code.

The actual videos are kind of cool. He still has to work within the constraints of the NES hardware to display the images. And the inputs from the controllers are being read from the NES hardware. So it's not just pushing images through the NES, even though that's half of it.

Ubisoft to Focus on "Return to Leadership" in Open World Genre, Expand Live Service Experiences

Ubisoft says they are focusing on two "core verticals," and that's to return as a leader in the open world genre, and live service games.

enkiduxiv1d 2h ago

Calling Ubisoft a leader in open world gaming at any point in time would be like calling Dollar General a leader in retail.

excaliburps15h ago

Well, to be fair, they did pump out good open world games before. It was used as a template so much that people now know what it means when you say it's like an Ubi open world collectahon.

shinoff218313h ago

What though? I can't think of one game they had where I liked anything about it. Atleast since the ps3/360 Gen

Kornholic12h ago

If they have never been the leader in open world gaming, then explain me this: why does almost every open world game follow the same tired old Ubisoft open world formula?

Follow the Leader.

Aphrodia53m ago

YO dont' talk bad about the General. There'll be problems...

You were never the leader bro 🤣

shinoff218323h ago(Edited 23h ago)

I don't think they were ever the leader tbh. I've never really cared for any of their open world games. I do wanna try watch dogs 2 because it looks like it's set in San Fran. Looked interesting

Name someone that isn't trying to look us these days maybe cdpr.

Take two, ubi and yes even PlayStation are pushing us to own nothing and be happy with our live service ad injected games on a sub so they can raise prices at will and take access away when they see fit.

If it keeps up I'll be a full time retro gamer and this industry will be crashing hard

As rediculas as it sounds we need government reforms to defend consumer rights
