Take-Two renews Manhunt IP

Take-Two has renewed Manhunt's IP. Rockstar's classic horror cult, which horrorized us in Xbox and PS2, could be back.

That could actually be a pretty good take on a multiplayer aspect if they decided to have multiplayer. Drop a load of people into a city and you've gotta stealth and silent murder your way for the win. Scavenging plastic bags and such for silent executions lol

That it actually a good idea and would fit in with the theme of Manhunt perfectly.

I wouldn't want huge maps though, keep it confined and even throw in AI antagonists that also hunt you as well as the other players you have to find and fight.

Loved the original games but due to the jump in graphics I think it will be too much for the ratings boards to allow unfortunately. They already lost a fortune on manhunt 2 as it was censored and still banned around the world

That! This isnt the early 2000s anymore. If a game like Manhunt were to be released today the world would go batshit crazy ever it.

Maybe they needed to renew the IPs license or something..

Manhunt is great. The censoring drama of part 2 killed the franchise. Hope it comes back without the censorship

Damn, the game was awesome, however I reckon some country's will cut the crap out of it and slap explicit tags on it straight away not to mention threaten stores with legal action if caught selling to anyone under age of t be restriction it will be set at.

The game caused so much controversy, not to mention the murders that happened at the time. Usually I don't say a video game is to blame for people going off the rails, but in Britain where the game was found in the kids bedroom and one out of the two kids idolized the game and then later took his friend who he had been playing that game with and later killed him though various manning ways, only says one thing.

I think take two let things die down, but still think it will cause an upstir if released, I did enjoy it myself, game was sick- as in good and as in psychologicaly twisted.

There's not many games I won't let my son play but this would be one as what it involves, straight up horror at its best..

I remember in Britain after the murders, they pulled in as many games as they could, cut it and put the game back in the shops and people were still getting there hands on the uncut version and not buying the cut as a statement to the ratings agency.
