As I said last night, frame-rates are dropping to the low 20s in some areas. But it’s not as bad as I thought.

I’d probably download the enhanced patch.

Cueil2380d ago

nothing turning off god rays won't fix...

Genuine-User2380d ago

It can be down to just god rays alone.

strifeblade2379d ago

details on thx is incredible- some are not present on the pro

fathertime44642378d ago

@genuine
It's obvious you don't own an x so why are you on forums for the x version of the game? Trying to get any info jyst so you can attempt to justify your vias towards the system? I know why i dont like PlayStation, i dont need to read others oppiniins of it to justy my personal distain for all tgings sony. Took your suggestion by the way and headed to the woods... No noticeable issue there.

fathertime44642380d ago

Well I was disappointed after watching this. Then I played the game and thought hun without someone analyzing the game I would have never known about the 2fps dips... I'll stick with my personal experience before I base my comments of a vid like this.
@genuine it's worth downloading the patch in my oppinion

Genuine-User2380d ago

Yeah, download the patch if the drops don’t bother you.

WilliamSheridan2379d ago

Odd that the guy with Kratos as an icon is trying to bad mouth the update LoL... Even DF data shows the dips are rare.

fathertime44642379d ago

@genuine
I could've sworn I said I did download it.....
Yep I did say that. And I also I liked it and didn't notice the dips myself. Great patch, especially if you play the game and don't analyze it with a computer. Can't be all like "this sucks" if you don't know it exists to begin with

Genuine-User2379d ago

@WilliamSheridan
There’s no need to be childish now. The dips aren’t rare, check the forums if you don’t believe me. DF didn’t even show the worst part:

“Head to the right after leaving the vault into the woodlands where there’s lots of foliage and the framerate tanks and stays like that. It’s not the small 2-4 FPS dips you see in the video.”

@fathertime
It was more of a general suggestion for anyone reading my comment.

"But it's 4k."

People don't care about performance as long as you git 4k sticker stamped on the game.

threefootwang2380d ago

You should change your name.

Tupac was a talented rapper, and respected by many.

You're neither of these things.

PixelOmen2379d ago (Edited 2379d ago )

Seriously. I'd rather play this at 1440p or even 1080p if it means I can get 70+ fps on a gsync monitor. People are obsessed with this "4K" term. It's not even an accurate term, it's actually called UHD if it's a 1.78 aspect ratio (3840x2160).

UltraNova2379d ago

F4 in 4K is looking very sharp, nice addition to the OneX.

That said, damn this game is looking stiff and outdated graphically...and to think all reviewers gave it a pass cause Bethesda...

MadLad2379d ago

If you want proper 4k ... get a decent gaming PC.
If you want a weak example of it ... get an X.
If you want lower than that ... well Playstation has the Pro ..

moomoo3192379d ago (Edited 2379d ago )

@2pacalypsenow
you are neither 2pac nor mel gibson so the name has to go

Phill-Spencer2379d ago (Edited 2379d ago )

@threefootwang

If we all had to chose or usernames based on actual attributes or facts in general (like i did btw), i would guess you had to exchange the "foot" in yours for "inch" to fit reality^^

Gamist2dot02380d ago

That CPU needs another 200 mhz to stablize the 30fps at that res.

bolimekurac2380d ago

so far 4 games recieved a patch after the patch to address issues so i would wait a week and after all its just a patch to games that already released so we cant expect every dev and engine to patch so easily. going forward as games are made using the x we will see much better results

Cueil2380d ago

I'm wondering if this is just a case of them using the X1 code... wonder if they could have gotten better performance using the PC code as the base for the Xbox One X patch

darthv722380d ago

Better not let my son watch this video. He would bug me to get an X even sooner than I want to. He is a Fallout boy like no other and would be all over this game even more in 4k. It's bad enough he hogs the xbo with playing fallout 3, new vegas and 4.

Damn I'm impressed...this engine is ancient and terribly optimized yet the One X holds a native 4K image 90% of the time compared to the 1440p on the Pro. But lets just keep talking about how big the difference was between 900p and 1080p

corroios2379d ago

Again with same excuse . Launch consoles, same month, one 499 and another 399, but the cheaper run the games better and got more power. Now one launch at 2016 at 399 and another launch at 2017 at 499. Its not that hard to undrstand.

What is amazing is a cheaper console get the better performance and not a more expensive and brand new being better.

At launch both target 1080p, but the problem was that one wasnt getting there and in the same cases it run at 720 . Now thats a huge diference

Nothing is hard to understand. For only a hundred more you get a console that outputs a lot better resolutions and gfx than the Pro, and it includes a 4K UHD player.

"What is amazing is a cheaper console get the better performance and not a more expensive and brand new being better. "

That is hilarious. You think dropping a couple frames in certain areas of the map where high end rigs commonly drop in, while producing a native 4K resolution is an amazing victory for the Pro? While the X also has more upgrades than just the reolution.. LOL your as deluded as the air in China.

"At launch both target 1080p, but the problem was that one wasnt getting there and in the same cases it run at 720 . Now thats a huge diference"

Hardly any game ran in 720p on the Xbox One. Pretty much only the older CoDs, Watchdogs, and BF4 ran in 720p.. and any game that ran in 720p, didnt run in 1080p on the PS4 but it ran in 900p. But somehow you are saying 720p to 900p is a hug difference but Native 4K to the pros 1440p with better draw distances, textures, etc is not? Show me where Xbox hurt your feelings lol

How nice of them to give us more control over graphical settings as a way to *completely* avoid taking accountability for the broken Xbox settings.

bondsmx23d ago

Well, I still crashed like 5 times last night within two hours. So there’s that.

anast22d ago

I had to stop. The game is not good. I'd rather play Skyrim and that game isn't that good either.

I Think It's About Time We Realize Fallout 4 Wasn't That Bad

Ahmed from eXputer: "2015's Fallout 4 received harsh criticism upon launching, but I think it was unwarranted and the game deserves more praise than it got."

helicoptergirl28d ago

It was totally that bad. I couldn't finish the campaign it was so bland and boring as I recall. Got so sick of it. 1000 stimpaks on hard. It is very rare that I play half a game and then just quit. I usually always finish it. But i was so bored with this game I just stopped and never went back and never regretted it. Just thinking about that game makes me shudder

Furesis28d ago

That's exactly what happened to me too lmao
Fallout 4 is not a fallout game period it's a bethesda game

Vits28d ago

The comparison with Skyrim is mind-boggling. Yes, Skyrim has streamlined many of the systems that Morrowind introduced. However, it did not tamper with the core of the Elder Scrolls franchise; it did not diminish the freedom and sense of exploration that made Bethesda RPGs famous. Fallout 4, on the other hand, did exactly that to the Fallout series. It eliminated what made Fallout such a beloved series to play. There are no consequences for your choices, no reason to explore, and barely any interesting set pieces in the game.

It's not terrible, but it's a painfully mediocre game in a franchise that typically doesn't produce such mediocrity. So that is why people see it as bad, the bar is just much higher.

anast28d ago

They both feel the same because they are, it's just that one has swords and magic and the other has swords and guns.

anast28d ago

I'm replaying it now. It sucks. I'm about 30 hours in and thinking about quitting again. I am so tired of the dialogue I just spam a random button because it doesn't matter. The upgrade just feels like a graphical mod, everything else is not good.

Good-Smurf28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

I couldn't play the game as-is it was insanely boring and grindy and the grind itself are not fun at all.
Mods helped me stomach the game a bit better but after a while I just stopped playing and uninstalled it because the game did nothing after the first few hours to give me any motivation to keep playing it, it just became a mindless looter shooter with obsession in settlement building and defending.
Compared to F3 and FNV, F4 was barely a mediocre game it wasn't bad but it's also very forgettable entry.

MrDead28d ago

It's not that bad after 300+ mods that fix it's issues and make the game fun... but lets not talk about mods right now as they are f****d.
