Crazy Justice to Feature Cross Network Play Between Switch, Xbox One and PC

Black Riddles Studio announced the upcoming third-person shooter Crazy Justice will feature cross-network play between the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

Players on the three platforms will be able to play with others on different online multiplayer networks, but will also have the option of choosing to play only with players on the same platform.

Cross network play is going to be huge on Nintendo, Xbox, and PC. The future of online play is here.

It be nice if Sony can join on the fun too

porkChop2405d ago

It would be great, but they won't. At least not while they're ahead. Next gen when they're all starting at zero Sony will likely be interested all of a sudden.

-Foxtrot2405d ago

@porkchop

"will likely be interested all of a sudden"

You mean exactly like Microsoft?

wonderfulmonkeyman2405d ago (Edited 2405d ago )

@Fox
Are you still on that "Oh, well if Microsoft did it last gen then that justifies it if others do it this gen!" kick?
Get over it, man.
It's gone past the point of an opinion and straight into living in a bubble, for the people who are so against crossplay that they claim it would somehow do some sort of extreme harm if it were enabled anywhere possible.

It was dumb when Micro was against crossplay last gen, and that hasn't changed this gen, regardless of who happens to be against it, or how much the elitist portion of a fanbase says "Oh, but we think we're better than you, because reasons, so we don't want or need to play with you using crossplay."

Silly gameAr2405d ago (Edited 2405d ago )

lol. Crossplay has been around for years. It's going to be the same on Xbox, PC, and Nintendo as it is anywhere else. You guys are funny.

Kribwalker2405d ago

cross console cross play has not been tho. the ps2/pc/360 did it with ff11 but that was 12 years ago

Silly gameAr2405d ago

@Kribwalker

Bro, this is another thing that gamers are going to hype up and make it seem like it's the best thing ever, and then in a months time it will be lukewarm. We've seen it happen plenty of times. The only reason people are hyping it up is because Sony won't play ball with MS. If it wasn't for that fact, people wouldn't care about cross play as much.

gangsta_red2404d ago

@silly

People are hyping it up because this is pretty much almost a first for consoles being crossplay with each other.

So yes, gamers are going to talk about it and continue to talk about it because it's a huge deal at this point especially with a company like Nintendo and MS.

The other reason why people are talking about it is partly because Sony won't allow it which is strange. But there's no point in downplaying something like this which is a pretty huge step with connecting players on every console if a developer wants to do so.

Kribwalker2405d ago

Nice, more xbox/pc/switch crossplay goodness. i wonder if it will be crossbuy? would be cool to play with the same character across all three platforms too, xbox at home, switch on the go, would be cool

gangsta_red2405d ago

I wonder if Switch owners have to sign up for Xbox Live?

TankCrossing2405d ago

I heard they have to sign a "soul contract" with Microsoft. Best read the small print.

2405d ago
TekoIie2404d ago

I'd expect some companies would require an accout to be linked?

Like signing into an SE or EA account while using your online user for wichever platform your playing on.

Sonic_Vs_Mario2404d ago (Edited 2404d ago )

Minecraft is owned by Microsoft, obviously you'll have to sign up to Xbox Live because it's cross-save. Purchase once and play on all platforms without repurchasing the item again.

Edit: Excluding PlayStation 4

It's been confirmed it's cross save by one of the developers

This is that new battle royal game coming out I believe. This genre seems to be getting a lot more popular.

Will definitely keep my eye out for this game.

That's cool that the dev was able to get crossplay going for PC/Xbox/Switch, I wonder how games will be set up. Would be fun to see matches like PC Vs Switch Vs Xbox.

Zeref2405d ago

Never know about this game. It actually looks pretty fun. Cross-play makes it a must have. And it's only $15

NotoriousWhiz2405d ago (Edited 2405d ago )

$15 if you back it now. $25 retail with an expected release of Q2 2018.

timotim2405d ago

This is what I want to see! This is what GAMERS want to see! Dont let those that have some type of vested fanboy wars intrest steer you wrong...everyone should want to see this when possible. Gamers want to play the games...period. We shouldnt be held back just because we have different platforms...if the game can work together, let us all enjoy it together. I look forward to play more titles in the future with my Steam, Nintendo and Xbox gamers...let the covenant commence!

BlacKJesu52405d ago (Edited 2405d ago )

Im a gamer....ive never cared about crossplay as far as wanting it....but its a cool feature

Bar none best console feature is shareplay

timotim2405d ago

Sounds like more fanboy war talk. I didnt ask you what the best console feature was. This isnt a pissing contest. We are talking about gamers not being limited with the people they can play with/against. We you and I both have the same game, why should we not be able to play it together? Why is the the fact that we have different platforms the thing thats keeping us from doing so when the devs can clearly make it happen?

The 10th Rider2405d ago

You could play co-op on a game with a friend that owns a different console.

With indie games that run on Laptops, you could bring your laptop to a friend's house and play something like Stardew Valley together using your laptop and their console.

Games that are online only would benefit from being able to stay alive longer by using the combined userbase of multiple platforms. Heck, some games could keep servers separate at first to ensure a level playing field, but then combine them as the playerbase begins to dwindle.

I can understand someone not being particularly interested in it, but I can't understand how anyone could call themselves a gamer and say they're opposed to crossplay, like many "gamers" have suddenly decided since Sony started opposing it. The only time I can see it as a detriment is in competitive games, but not every game would have to make use of it.

Actually interested in thi as it has offline play, bots, co-op and splitscreen support.

Zeref2163d ago

also this looks much better. Fortnite looks horrible on the switch. it's like they didn't even try.

Outlawzz2163d ago

Lol wt did u expect to see in the graphics department ? Fortnite in general doesn't have good graphics doesn't matter which system you play on

Zeref2163d ago

It runs fine but it looks horrible.

Segata2163d ago

No disrespect aimed at the devs but seeing this reminds me of Cubed on Wii U before Minecraft was released. A token substitute. Just this time a day late. Maybe it's good but they should have gotten it out sooner.
