It ran beautifully, and thankfully has full controller support. I still don't trust Bungie and I wouldn't dream of purchasing the game until I see HUGE single player improvements over Destiny 1. The multiplayer is still a poorly coded mess, so that's irrelevant to me.

Multiplayer isn't poorly coded. In fact they do a marvelous job of ensuring the average player won't have a terrible experience even on a bad connection.

Multiplayer is peer to peer, and that's a piss poor basis for a competitive fps. Activision stink and destiny multiplayer sucks, but don't blame the coders... They've made the most if a bad situation.

For anyone wondering, you can't use a controller+mouse configuration. As of now, it doesn't support it.

Exactly the problem these pc choosers are either not seeing or not acknowledging. This game is made by bungie for consoles.
The port looks great but unless they adjust the difficulty and balance it will be far too easy of a game for pc players. Just look how long it took to balance destiny 1 for consoles. Can't imagine how rough it's going to be getting this balanced just right for pc with all it's keyboard scripts, easier mouse aiming and optimization for varying pc builds.

I play consoles majority of the time, and the Destiny 2 PC port is on point. Loved the gameplay, and I see no reason to be concerned in terms of gameplay.
