A lack of cross-platform play between games on Windows 10 Store and Steam versions of the same PC games seem not to be though, alarm bells ringing especially loud as Microsoft have chosen to purposefully deprive PC gamers from cross-play with their very own first-party games, and after all the negative PR they aimed at Sony for lacking in cross-play and everything. Seems like MS has their own preferences in which platforms or services they wish to integrate with just like Sony is okay with PC and PlayStation cross-play but not other consoles. No wonder he gave such a simplistic about it being a developer choice. They don't want people drawing attention to these corporate double standards.
