After the Success of Persona 5, Atlus Registers 4 New P5 Domains P5D.jp, P5R.jp, P5U.jp and P5AG.jp

After its release in Japan late 2016, Atlus’s JRPG Persona 5 finally released for Sony’s home console earlier this month in the west, to huge critical acclaim.

More recently though, Japanese developer Atlus registered 4 separate new domains for the hit game – P5D.jp, P5R.jp, P5U.jp and P5AG.jp according to domain search website Whois.

It's also not in any way exclusive to Persona 4. Persona 3 has 3 versions of the actual game, an anime, a manga, several movies and, (I kid you not) a stage play. This is how Atlus does their marketing, and it has been since the PS2 era.

While Persona 4 dancing all night was a great game, i really dont want it for persona 5 as the game tone is much darker than persona 4.

Well I don't believe that's necessarily written in stone anywhere especially if you consider shin Megami tensei Nocturne released on the PlayStation 2.

Please don't confuse current situations with permanent ones for all you know Persona 4 Golden appeared on the PSP simply because there was no other place for it to appear whereas Persona 5 would actually probably make sense to appear on the switch since there would be no PlayStation handheld equivalent.

So I don't know if such situations are 100%.

Could be . People have mentioned SMT being "nintendos" but that isnt true , just a trend since PS2. Its just PS3 that got the short end of the stick on that as consoles sales were down and they moved to portables. PS2 had a ton of SMT games and heck if you want to count Maken X even Dreamcast had one.

It IS fully possible that Switch could get Persona 5: G but time will tell. It will suck for them to get it late and they will probably be forced to massively edit the game for content and language - that is my biggest concern.

Persona is a spin off of Shin Megami tensei. Persona games have always been on Playstation only. Then there's Shin megami tensei, which to my Understanding is Nintendo exclusives, as the last game was on Wii U only

Persona games being on PS have been simply by happen chance of nothing else, they are also small RPG series, so for them it made sense to be on a limited number of platforms.

SMT III was on PS2, yet SMT IV is on 3DS, like I said bud ,who knows. We really don't know where SEGA wants to branch out that series, for all we know, Switch and PC might really be on the horizon for that series.

No. Never. It is not going to happen. P5 is Playstation exclusive. The game has a Playstation console in it and references Playstation features(earning a platinum trophy). If they're going to have a portable version, it's going to the Vita. The success of a console is irrelevant. Have you never thought why they ported P4 on the Vita instead of the 3DS? Or Wii, even? If there's going to be a much-improved P5, it's going to a Playstation platform. Period. If there's going to be a portable one, It's going to be on the Vita, unless it's a spinoff like Persona Q which is an entirely new game then yes, you can expect something like that on the Switch.

It have a low chance of bringing it to the Vita but knowing Atlus, they still make games for the Vita and even made a Persona 4 spin off dancing game exclusively for the Vita knowing that the Vita is not selling well outside of Japan so anything could happen.

I don't know if that's going to happen but if they were able to make Persona 3 on the PSP then I believe it's probably feasible for them to make Persona 5 on the PlayStation Vita especially if you consider there is a PlayStation 3 version.

If anything Persona 5 on the Vita would actually be equivalent to what Persona 3 was when it released on the PSP where it was just powerful enough to support Persona 3 but they had to alter some things but overall it was feasible.
