Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands E3 2016 vs Retail PS4 Graphics Comparison

Ghost Recon Wildlands will be released in just few days, so this is a great opportunity to finally check how the game evolved since last year E3 presentation.

Retail has better quality textures on objects all around. Grass has been moved around from the 2016 version.

I think Ubisoft has slowly but surely been learning their lesson over the past couple of years. I thoroughly loved the open beta I just wish the cover system worked better.

Hated the cover system (if you can call it that). Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the beta as well.

I had no trouble with the cover system, I barely used it. Most times I simply ducked behind an object, I only pressed against cover when I felt I might have been spotted. I thought it worked well, I dont see the need to press in hard against every low wall I come across. Its not believable.

there's an Ultra preset on PC, think its up much closer to the e3 version, open word levels are stunning. screen-space reflections seems to be missing from retail tho.

Much sharper so better draw distance as well.

They got worse textures for stuff near the player in the retail version and increased the view distance. Neither an upgrade not a downgrade in this case. Though the real downgrade was in the previous video where it was raining and stuff.

Dont really care how it stacks up to a year old video so I can cry downgrade. Im dont base my purchases on old videos, Im basing it on the beta I played. Before the beta I was very Meh about this game, but now I know I want it once Im done with Horizon. Now if we could just get better squad commands Id be very happy with this package..

For the size of the map, it looks well enough to me. Already downloaded & waiting for tomorrow.
