PS4 is the worst console of them all. They only have JRPGs and THATS ALL. We have Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty with Xbox Live.

Lol, nice trolling attempt. Otherwise I have to disagree. We have Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty in actual near 4k definition, not upscaled. Call of Duty Remastered, Diablo 3 and Skyrim are in NATIVE 4K resolution. Nioh, Horizon, Nier, Bloodborne, Uncharted, Days Gone, God of War, Last of Us 2, Gravity Rush 2, and Spider Man are pretty good games in my book :)

It's funny when Sony pays for exclusives people on N4G are like "Sony, so amazing!" but look at Bayonetta 2, Nintendo actually helped make the game happen. And people complain like it is their right to have it on PS4. Same with Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider and PlayStation have a history, it was the PlayStation that helped propel the game to were it went, therefore were it's fan base was created. To take it it away from it's fan base in order for a pay off is what was the issue, also away from PC, were it also had a bigger fan base than Xbox.
It is not the same issue with this game, I doubt Sony had to go to great strides to secure this game as MS support for Japanese related games is non-existent.
Tomb Raider is a different issue completely and I wish people would recognise the differences. I don't agree with pay offs on either side but Tomb Raider was a step to far.

You seem a bit down my friend. Sony have relationships with devs from all over the shop. They dont rely on just one stream of development. Sonys choices seem to be paying off big time. They dont deserve all the credit or even the majority but you have to ask why nobody else picked this up or if the approach was made by PG why did they choose sony.

Lets even ignore the 20 year history and how I played every single main Tombraider game with a Dual Shock in my hands. How about the fact that series was just about dead. One more bad game (critically OR commercially) and the whole franchise might have been thrown on the scrape pile and sat there until someone was brave enough to try it again in 5 or 10 years.

It was the reboot that brought that franchise back from the grave, and it was Playstation gamers that made the reboot a commercial success. Regardless of where the game found popularity to start with or our history with it, the hard present day facts were, if it were not for PS3 and PS4 gamers buying the reboot, there would be no Rise of the Tombraider.

The reboots success guaranteed a sequel, and MS did not pay to have it made, that was a given, MS paid to have it denied from the machine where Tombraiders fans all play. Dont believe me? Explain how the PS4 version has already sold more than the XBOne version, even with a year head start, even with the bitter taste of being shunned for a bag of cash, Playstation owners still supported the game more than XB owners.

Thats why Tombraider is diiferent. And if a dev chooses to focus on one machine like in this case because the competition does not do well in the markets they are targeting, its a better reason than choosing one machine because they spread their big chequebook around pretty much out of spite for gamers who dont care for their platform and who were so invested in the franchise. If you cant see that, well fine, I wont go on about, but it should be pretty obvious to anyone not blinded be their allegiance. Had Sony put up cash to have Gears of War become an exclusive before MS bought it, I dont think many XB gamers would have been ok with it since it was a game so tied to the XB brand. Pretty much the same thing.

I hope the sales of Nier aren't affected too much by Horizon. It's coming out very close to it, and obviously Horizon is the much more hyped game. Nier already appeals to the Otaku gamer I think, but it's a cult IP right now. Good reviews, and much better marketing than the first will probably help it, but I think with the utter glut of games these first few months is going to make this game be one that gets put on the back burner by many.

I am still playing Nioh, haven't even made it to Yakuza. Horizon and now Nier are both on preorder even though I doubt I will get to them in a month or two. What a generation this has been for Sony.

NiEr: Automata is going to be an epic game, the moment I played the demo, I got freaking amazed, the controls, the visuals, the amazing background music, holy damn!!!, there's a tune in the game that resembles the intro music of Ghost in the Shell segments imo, when I hear that while playing the demo I almost shed a tear on how awesome that moment was.

Without spoiling anything.. i did not enjoy playing as 9S due to his severe limited combat range because of his role in the game which i completely understand but still.. instead most of the time his gameplay is replaced by something else entirely that i feel like its a little overused..

Here's yet another PS4 game that's gonna be a must play. My back log is enormous but that's a great problem to have!
