I'm finding that as I get older, and play MMOs longer, I give less and less of a shit about PVP.

I dunno why. Maybe I just no longer have the patience to deal with the kind of players that typically do PVP in MMOs?

Yeah, PvP sums up now to "who has the biggest d*ck" fights, where the people with more free time/money to spend according to the game, wins, I deeply prefer a meaningful PvE endgame with a lot of teamwork.

I stopped caring about pvp a long time ago. Only certain titles can grab me now, and its not many. I enjoy my co-op, pve style games

i completely agree, I am way more of a co-op fan today than a multiplayer. I used to love playing MP. I was so competitive but now, as I get older (I'm 34 for another month or so) I find it much more appealing to relax, fire up the PS/XBOX, invite some friends and get lost in a world than put it into beast mode and go apeshit. I think there needs to be more co-op games as more of an add-on mode than anything. Metal Gear would benefit GREATLY from this.

I was never really a big fan of PvP. In WoW I did a little in BC and WoTLK. I enjoy things like dungeons, raids, and group PvE content much more. In wow the only battleground I really liked was Alterac Valley. I personally get bored fast doing things like BGs or Arenas. After like 3 matches I'm ready to do something else that is PvE related.

Happened with with me too but not in MMOs, most genres. Coop/MP against AI is just less stressful for me these days, especially now I don't get the time I used too.

Still, something to be said for playing competitively that AI just can't match. Genuine sense of accomplishment.

Yeah, PVP gets old. My favorite MMO of all time was and is Everquest, and PVP was non existent except for a few pvp servers . It is much more enjoyable to work together in my opinion.

MMO PvP is the worst PvP, especially open world PvP. The majority of people who seek this experience are nothing more than griefers and gankers. As much as I love ESO I simply can not stand PvP. It's usually an empty experience where at the end of the day, for all my exertions, what I achieved is ultimately pointless as soon as I log as the night crew will eventually log on and undo whatever gains my faction have made.

After recently coming back to WoW after a many year hiatus, PvP is a joke. I play for the teamwork and personal connection in PvE with people I played the game with for years.
