Can't wait for the remaster. Combat system is still one of the best I have experienced in an RPG. Story was nothing special though.

combat became auto pilot once you set everything up, how was that fun? the story was bland and the characters had no depth to them. SE did a good job making you feel like all you needed to do was manage the team and theyll do the rest.

I really liked the game play on 12. Liked the hunts, combat system etc but the story just lost me. I'm not big on politics.
Never got very far because of this, maybe 10 hours. I'll give it another go.

I will play this again it's FF one of my favorite jrpg franchises.Though I had fun playing 12 it was one of those games that didn't have a memorable impression on me especially the story & I didn't like how they implemented the summons to work though there are a lot of unique summons.

I never played 12.
After 11 was online only. 10 was the last installment I played. Heard it changed from a turn based combat to more action based, so my interest for the series died.

My friends getting this, so I'll probably just borrow it. As it stands, may be the last final fantasy game I'd get after trying 15's demo and disliking the controls.

If the author doesn't like the game then that's his/her problem. Personally, this (XII) was the last Final Fantasy game that I was interested in/loved. It harkens back to Final Fantasy Tactics on the original PlayStation, still one of my all time favourite games. I detested FFXIII and wasn't interested in two sequels to a game I didn't like. I'm not interested in XIV because I don't play online games, and I'm keeping a watchful eye on XV. Time will tell whether or not I'm interested. In the interim, for FFXII-ZA, please S-E, announce a release date?!

Dragon Quest Builders, Hitman, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Rise Of The Tomb Raider, FFXV, World Of Final Fantasy, Nier 2. Star Ocean 5 etc etc etc.

They are releasing many great games and more to come and i dont see the problem in Remastering old titles for those who want to play it.

I'm a big fan of the series from 7 onwards so I tried to like 12 but I found it immensely dull. Bland characters, environments and combat and I can't remember a single thing about the story, unlike the other games where it's etched into my mind forever.

If you can get past the old graphics, I'd recommend giving FFVI a try. Easily one of the best in the series.

I am glad that I will be able to play the Zodiac version in Eng finally. Beat it years ago on a mod chipped PS2 and adored it. It was way way better than the initial release.

When i got the game i lived in a rural area with no proper internet connection, so all the news about vaan being pushed into the game last minute flew past me. With that in mind, i loved the game. Imo the story is much more mature and believable than previous entries. You could see some.proper character development in almost all main characters, and a story that honestly can be confounding is viewed through the eyes of a young boy, which makes understanding it much easier.

One of the best FF games for me.

My concern is if there's an option to change the camera, it's the biggest reason why I didn't finish the game. I didn't like the camera and it did ruin the experience for me. The little bit I did play wasn't bad, and I wouldn't mind going through it again as long as the camera controls are updated.

For those who question 12, it's in some ways an offline version of 11 (which I played off and on for 10 years total). No they aren't the same game, and no none of the characters are in one or the other, but you can tell 12 was heavily influenced off 11.
