DS4Windows now supports Sony's official bluetooth adapter

A project fork to support Sony’s adapter, intended only for use with PlayStation Now and Remote Play, has been created for the tool, allowing users the same DS4Windows support but with the added benefits of the device’s Bluetooth range and full use of the headphone jack and touchpad.

Now the adapter is actually worth getting :)

More and more reasons to not bother with console gaming.... Tad bit of a shame really.
Xbox exclusives and now ps exclusives on pc.... Along with controller.

Edit: can people read comments here... Or do they skim comments and make assumptions.

SonyWarrior2806d ago (Edited 2806d ago )

ps now is only select old ps3 games that are streamed over internet which has horrible latency depending where you live. but what you said is true for xbox i agree with you there 100% all xbone games are on pc now no point in a xbone anymore

MasterCornholio2806d ago (Edited 2805d ago )

I find it funny how people believe that playing PlayStation games on PC via PSNow is vastly superior or equivalent to playing them on the actual console.

PSNow is a streaming service which means latency will be much worse than playing the game on an actual console and there's the issue of compression which makes image quality worse.

In short PlayStation games are much worse on PC than on an actual PlayStation.

@game

"Learn to read... I never said all."

I do know how to read. And you never said most or some. You just said PlayStation exclusives without being specific if you meant all or some. By leaving that information out you leave your comment open to different interpretations. If you said some or most I would know your not talking about all of them.

game4funz2806d ago

Actually not all Xbox games are on pc so not sure why you agree 100%...
Halo and sunset for instance.

Notice I never said all for either platform. I also said Playstation not Playstation 4 specifically although those games will go eventually as well.

@mastercornholio
I reiterate
Learn to read... I never said all.
Wow people get so defensive here.

MasterCornholio2806d ago (Edited 2805d ago )

Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Ratchet and Clank Reboot, Horizon Zero Dawn and Until Dawn are on PC?

First time that I heard that all PS exclusives are coming to PC

@Below

Well if you like PlayStation exclusives you need a PlayStation to play them.

@One

" if those games where that good then why have i not bought not one of them ?"

So your saying that in order for those games to be good you have to buy them.

I'm sorry but I disagree with that. I bought Bloodborne and it's a bloody good game. I'm sure many others agree with me.

You see we don't need you to buy a game in order for it to be good. We just need the developer to make a good game.

ONESHOTV22806d ago

MasterCornholio yawn that list i have seen it so many times that it's kind of getting boring as a PS/PC gamer if those games where that good then why have i not bought not one of them ? if i can buy a monitor for 1,200 + 1,800$ RIG 100 $ ram plus putting money down for the 1080 ti dont you think i would have the money to buy a measly 400$ console. i want to ask you what do you think the reason for that is ?

game4funz2806d ago (Edited 2805d ago )

Never said all buddy. Not sure who said that... Actually you're the only one who did.

I said Xbox and Playstation exclusives.
Exclusives is plural. But I didn't say all for either. Plural is more then one.

Maybe you can read but your comprehension level seems to need work.

I'm also noticing replies are only from the Sony camp. Please calm the fan nerves and relax. Who cares if exclusives go to pc. It's okay.
Many so called Japanese exclusives are also on pc and helldivers ended up on pc as well. So you see yes... Exclusives... Maybe not first party but with ps now... That changes.

Trigem2805d ago

Incorrect, a selection of last-generation games (PS3) are coming. Playstation camp aren't as stupid as they Xbox counterparts to be dumping "All" of their exclusives into another platform. PS will require you to have: a PlayStation Now subscription, adapter and PlayStation controller.

Trigem2805d ago

You're wrong. It is Xbox that is screwing themselves over here, PlayStation is skimming around the ice-rink and playing things wisely by requiring you to have a PlayStation Now subscription, adapter, PlayStation controller. Etc

Not only are they snagging nearly every gamer from the console community, but they will also be inviting gamers from the PC community. I see this as a victory for the Playstation camp. Besides, you'll only get to stream last-generation games, so it isn't much a loss for PS Exclusives.

game4funz2805d ago

I wouldn't consider opening games to more platforms a loss... If anything it's a gain. There's a reason multiplats sell the most.

ONESHOTV22805d ago

GemKenneth-- you comment is so wrong dont you think that if a PC gamer can afford a pc that'S 1000+ then dont you think they would have the would have the money to buy a cheap 400$ box. i already have a PS3 and i sure as hell dont see a reason for me to buy a PS4 becuase there is nothing out right now that's even close to being worth my 400$. and BTW this program will not take off like what MS is doing becuase at least MS is not charging us to play on some sh-t service that goes offline whenever it feels like it.

IamTylerDurden12806d ago

Now ppl can use the best standard controller on pc.

ONESHOTV22806d ago

i'm already using the PS3 controller so i see no reason for me to go out and spend 60$ for a controller plus an adapter

Errorist762805d ago

The DS4 is so superior it's not even funny.

Goldby2802d ago

good troll bud, if you've ever held a ds4 controller you would know how much better it is over ds3

ONESHOTV22806d ago

i will wait for modders to do the job like DS3 tool i'm not giving sony any money buying everything used even though i have the money for games or console

ONESHOTV22806d ago (Edited 2802d ago )

Ginpachi-sama--- sony has made too many wrong turns over the years and i give them no respect for what they have done so i will be a wise consumer and let my money speak i'm not a corporate slave like most of you guys. if you want to support them so be it man that's you.

Goldby--- it seems you have a chip on your shoulder, your point are invalid becuase 1 i dont own a goddamn xbox so why are you telling me about the cloud or DRM that has no effect on me (2) i'm a PS/PC gamer and i'm talking about sony not MS so keep them out of this chat plz. as i have said sony has been doing a lot of non consumer friendly things since the PS4 was released that includes abandoning the PS VITA- charging for online- lying to their consumers with broken games-claiming there system plays all games at 1080p and the list goes on so you the corporate slave what do you have to say about that are you going to try and divert the attention to MS system again ? this site is full of guys like you and it needs to stop

Goldby2802d ago (Edited 2802d ago )

@oneshot,

Too Many wrong turns like what?

Initially putting in a DRM feature only to remove it, saying their camera was mandatory for the proper experence of the console only to remove it within months? puffy clouds? claiming a new version of their DX was going to revolutionise gaming? promising a super huge "beast" a year an a half early becuase "options" bs.

or maybe it was when they said timed exclusives are bad, only to repeat it with a new Zombie game coming out. or making the opponents look like the bad guy buy saying we are all set for cross platform, as long as you do it the way we have it set up as.

or maybe it was the moment they had to freeze the accounts because of credit card hacks thet everyone forgets about.

..... i just realized something. everything i said was about MS not Sony

Goldby2802d ago

@OneShot.

I don't think you seem to understand the points i was putting up.

Yes Sony has had wrong turns in the past, but MS has made alot more. just because you don't own an Xbox One doesn't make those points any less valid. if it did make anythign less valid. i guess BP never had that oil spill cuz it didn't happen to you either.

This gen, Ms is looking like the Consumer friendly console becuase they are behind. and they need to work twice as hard to get people to go over to their services, hence why the Play anywhere and BC are on Xbox Ones. had they been first. you wouldn't have seen any of that (you as in community)

so you are going to buy used, so that you don't support the developers making the games you want to play, to stick it to Sony eh... reall smart, instead of giving money to the devs who work countl;ess hours to make your game, you are going to be paying Gamestop or someone else money for the devs work. nothing wrong with buy used, but when you are replacing Sony with Gamestop, you aren't really making a point. Gamestop has done much worse than good for our industry.

I have a chip on my shoulder for stuff companies use as their selling features, Cloud gaming, that was a flop, DX 12, flop as well, just liek win 10 gaming is going to be. yes ther will eb the odd game coming out that will sell more, but for every win10 game bought, there will be at least 2 purchased through steam (if they choose to allow it).

i'll call out any company on their wrong doings, just ebcause i haven't named any that i feel are bad on ps4 doesn't make me a fanboy and "one of those guys" go read my review for uncharted. i ripped it apart for its story pacing and direction. would a sony fan boy do that no.

ONESHOTV22802d ago

Goldby--- dude dont put words in my mouth when did i say i'm not going to support the devs i like that includes atlus and sega for yakuza do you think i would buy those used when i want them to keep making those games ? as i have told you i'm not giving Sony my money and that was it i will fully support my favorite devs no matter what platform they are on. and again you are rambling about MS which console i dont own i do support them on pc but that is it so plz stop with the diverted chat again focus we are talking about sony. good job on your unbiased review of uncharted then it's not my type of game but at least you are not a full sheep yet then.

Goldby2802d ago

You can't support your devs if you are buying used. that was the point i was making.

if you are buying used, you are supporting Gamestop making close 100% profit off of used games.

The only way to support devs though the Playstation are either buying the game directly from the developer or going though sony, either online or in store. either way Sony is getting a cut

Is Sony's Adaptive Difficulty A Good Idea?

Sony has been reported to be considering adding adaptive difficulty to all of its games. This feature would likely allow gamers to play more difficult games that usually have a skilled player barrier and also make it so hardcore gamers can get a good experience out of typically easier games.

I don't see an issue. I'm also sure it'd be an option that you could turn off to.

jambola142d ago

If optional yes
if not, awful idea

ApocalypseShadow142d ago (Edited 142d ago )

It should be optional but it would be more interesting to see gamers play more advanced AI. It's been a request since the beginning that NPCs and bots were more intelligent and tougher and not be stupid cannon fodder. This AI I'm guessing will adapt to the player. Which is cool. If the gamer sucks, the AI will suck. If the gamer is a bad ass, the AI will kick some ass and take names.

Based on GT7 Sophy, AI will definitely give gamers a run for their money.

jambola142d ago

sure
but I also don't ever want a case of playing a game I want to be hard, but then it get's easier because I die too much and removes that option
if it's 100% optional, I'm all for it
even ai adapting I'm not against
just any crap like, "you died too much so boss will suck to let you win easier" crap

Noskypeno142d ago

Yeah like everyone said, it should be optional. Sometimes I like to relax from the competitive mp and play a single player that's challenging but in a predictable way. I'll probably use it at times but sometimes I just want to have a soldier yell grenade 5 seconds before he throws it at you in perfect English.

ZeekQuattro142d ago

I don't have a problem with it. A number of games do this already depending on your playstyle.

porkChop142d ago

If you can turn it off? Sure. If it's forced, no it's a terrible idea. Imagine wanting a tougher experience but because you die a few times the game lowers the difficulty. That kind of defeats the purpose of the harder difficulty.

Didn't sound like it, sounds dirty

First it was the 19" of venom and now this 😂. Who's in charge of Sony's marketing team? lol

SICKINDIVIDUAL193d ago

Aww...snowflakes...too much for y'all to handle?

I remember a time when people weren't offended by this type of advertising.

Don't forget your helmet if going outside.

raWfodog193d ago

@sickindividual

I’m thinking how people these days would react to an ad showing an old lady asking “Where’s the beef?!”

blackblades193d ago (Edited 193d ago )

@raWfodog
Ads these days be so lewd. Like there's this one had on tv about internet speed saying "I need some of that big gig energy in my life" then sip on some tea with the Look while garage door slowly goes down. I'm not new to it at all cause theres been plenty over the years

raWfodog193d ago

@blackblades
We use to laugh at the ‘naughty’ ads back in the days but people today get so offended at the suggestion of sex in ads. It’s a different world.

Barlos193d ago

Nah, it sounds like a reference to Ghostbusters. That was the first thing that sprung to mind.
