5 Xbox One games we can't wait to play in 2016

Ashley writes "So far, 2016 has been a pretty stellar year for gaming. With the full realisation and release of virtual reality creating a new world for gamers to explore, the year has been a good one and that's even before we roll into 2017 - the year where many believe the hardware will prove its full worth. Leaked before, but fully announced at Microsoft’s Xbox E3 conference, a new and more powerful Xbox is on the horizon next year and with it will come a host of fantastic games. Games like Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, For Honor, and Scalebound will ensure that 2017 will be another fantastic year for gaming. Of that, there is no denying.

But we’re still only mid-way through 2016 and there are still plenty of games to get excited about before the year is out. Here are 5 of our most anticipated games still to come in 2016."

South Park is going to have me in stitches

Shubhendu_Singh2880d ago

SouthPark StickTruth was so good but deserved much much more attention.

Gladly the second one is getting it. It's official trailer was among the Top10 most watched E3 game trailer on youtube beating many high profile games. Damn this thing is going to be s fun.

I agree with this. The time travel mechanics. The sense of scale. The relationship with your mech. The bosses all had personalities. It's a wonderful game.

Yeah it was good, but it only did the time travel bit in one level. Dishonered 2 did the same thing. Now how about a game where it's implemented throughout the gameplay? Singularity says Hello (and deserves so much more recognition).

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion46d ago (Edited 46d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled46d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

We are going to see a lot of crap South Park products since they sold out to paramount years ago. It's their IP they can sell out, of course; it just means the quality of their show has tanked and other products as well. Nevertheless, they put on excellent musicals, but those haven't been sold to a mega corporation.

They said awhile ago that Ubisoft holds contract rights to the main flagship South Park games. So like stick, fractured and phone destroyer.

Snow Day was handled by THQ and Question and is a random spinoff. Hopefully Ubisoft is cooking something.

anast65d ago

That's one reason to be hopeful, but Ubi is trending down too.

chicken_in_the_corn65d ago

Loved the RPGs but never played the others. Have to track them down. Still not sure about Snow Day though.
