Hmm these are very easy achievements to get. The purpose of achievements is to achieve something. Play fetch with your dog is not an achievement but as least Complete the Hero Of will is respectable.

Ninja Gaiden 2 and Guitar Hero 3 if you want to achieve something, otherwise I think easy achievements are basically for spending your money buying and taking your time playing the game, that is how I see them.

Then achievements is not an appropriate name if that is how you see them. I don't care much about them and won't go out of my way to get them but they should require work to get. I have just got Halo 2 for the PC and I got 10 achievements in an hour without even trying.

They should require work like for example on the PS3 Trophies in PAIN you need to get a Billion points which is hard to get. Also people are complaining that the Warhawk Trophies are too difficult to get and it will be an achievement to get them all.

1 of those reasons is to have players explore the game world, for example, in crackdown, the big ball achievement, I never would've even known about the giant globe without it.

In fable 2, achievements like the teaching your dog a trick is designed to have players learn the game and world. No one is forcing you to teach your dog to do a trick they're just pointing out that it's possible, so is having an orgy, becoming emo, digging up treasure, and passing std (give a "gift" to your friend eh?).

Other achievements are designed to provide incentive for a player to finish a game, other are challenges that players should try and beat, etc.

Personally I think that the achievements that place emphasis on world/game exploration are the best because they hint at things you can do in the game that you never may have known about.

That's why the incredibly easy achievements are worth very little while the more difficult and challenging achievements are worth a lot.

now now Lucreto, dont be giving out about achievements because you prefer your Trophys ;) haha Every game will have different types of achievements in fariness, they are left up to the developer for that reason. It will be the very same for PS3 Trophys. Some games are perfect for big long hard achievements that could take days to complete, others are just casual achievements where you dont even have to try.

BTW hows your new PC going for ya???? Did ya play gears or Mass Effect yet???

Hey guy's, I'm from the Playstation camp, but I really do think this game is gonna be awesome. But the only reason is the fact that the first fable, even if it didn't deliver on all of its fronts, was a tremendous success in my book. Any one that has an xbox 360 and are fans of open-ended games should give this a purchase. Unfortunately for me, I only have a Playstation, so I won't be able to kill my dog ):

this is the only game I want on the 360. Too bad I don't own a 360. That might all change soon. I'm just not sure one game is enough of a reason to buy the 360. I need help. Maybe I'll just hold off for the PC version. Until then I'll have to play my friend's copy. Dammit!

Achievements like that are pointless much like Gears of War's achievement called Seriously where you had to get 10,000 kills in total in only Online ranked matches.

Hell even Bungie said that these sort of achievements are pointless and they aren't fun to the player, achievements should be used to make the game more fun and if needed to use the games functions so that players can learn how to play the game. There's nothing wrong with a hard achievement its just got to be fun for the player in the end.

This is a good and varied achievement list. It encourages multiple playthroughs too while not being impossible like Guitar Hero 3. Very good.

This is Probably one of the best achievement lists I've seen. I'm sick and tired of impossible achievements. Strange enough as I get older I find myself enjoying games more that have unique achievements that aren't too hard to get. I've gone from hardcore to somewhere in between casual and hardcore.

These achievements seem fun and not too hard to get. UnLike in metal slug on xbla. Finish the game without continuing? And its like, worth 12 points? No thanks!

These achievements however, are perfect. They're the perfect blend of fun, with some challenging ones here and there for completionists and the like.

well if you take a look at the recent lionhead blog you will notice that they very subtly hint that the list is could be fake so i wouldn't think that this achievement list is what it will be in the game but still its similar to a guideline of what you can expect.

The absolute only game that I have the slightest interest for on the xbox is Fable 2. I won't even start trolling couse it actually looks really nice.
