We Asked Publishers Which 360 Games They'll Make Playable On Xbox One

Microsoft announced Xbox One was getting Xbox 360 backwards compatibility at E3 this year, a feature everyone but Nintendo moved away from this hardware generation. We haven’t heard much since, so we decided to ask a bunch of game publishers about some of their biggest games.

Just looking at the list reminds me that there were a lot of games I missed that I would play if I ever have a slow period.

SFIV Batman games Tomb Raider RDR GOW 1-3 just off the top of my head

Dark-Funeral3237d ago

I agree with you.

Dishonored and Bioshock( I know !) are great games that I have never played.

I really like to see them on Xone.

LCEvans3237d ago

Il Jump off the peer if they get lost Odyssey on there was my favourite gamee!

Ninja Gaiden
Ninja Gaiden Black
Ninja Gaiden 2
Mass Effect 1-3
Gears 1-3 & Judgment
(Still buying Gears Ultimate, as it has 5 new stages & looks incredibly better)
Halo Wars
Halo Reach
Splinter Cell Games
Rainbow Six games
Ghost Recon games, except Future Soldier

TwoForce3237d ago

Army of Two and Lost Planet, please.

Dark-Funeral3237d ago (Edited 3237d ago )

For myself I would like to see Bethesda and Take-Two games on my Xone

I believe these companies may release some of their game on Xone.
their games are great and one of the best games in the last generation.

I think publisher will gain profit from BC, some of these games are Dead even tho they are great. Skyrim with 10, 5 or 15 price tag will encourage people to buy them and it will sell like a hot cake

still its my opinion

Clown_Syndr0me3237d ago

Sorry, but the article is kind of pointless as all it really says is "All the publishers had no information for us".
I was very happy to see this feature implemented but I have a horrible feeling that its never going to be taken advantage of and most of these games will never be seen to run on Xbox One.

Bring me Left 4 Dead, I beg you.

Double_O_Revan3237d ago

I see this being similar to the 360s BC. It'll get decent sorry for a while, but taper off until disappearing completely.

AKA "In which publishers say absolutely nothing of note."

Resident Evil 1 Remake To Have Slower Pace; Will Further Expand On The Game's Lore

Many details for the upcoming rumored Resident Evil 1 remake have already leaked online. Capcom appears to have huge ambitions for it.

XiNatsuDragnel5h ago

Sounds interesting I'll be interested in the second remake of re1

Cacabunga4h ago

They game cube remake was mind blowing.. another remake would be nice but i was really hoping for Code Veronica first

-Foxtrot3h ago

If it's true they are probably leading up to RE5 with the Chris vs Wesker story

RE1, CV and then RE5

Terry_B2h ago

Their REmake is still one of the best 3 video game remakes ever made.

Cacabunga2h ago

Terry

Zero was not a remake but an amazing game as well. I hope they remake that one one day with some coop play.. great great game

Cant wait until they cut the basement section and replace it with something worse.

Becuzisaid5h ago

While I want another modern remake of 1, I think code Veronica should be first. The first re1 remake holds up amazingly well. Give CV it's due.

Scissorman5h ago

As long as the Crimson Heads are back.

Levii_924h ago

Come on State of Play already!!!

That's hilarious because he did and said the same thing with 2K Marin who developed Bioshock 2

They've been closed since 2013 but not officially acknowledged

He just doesn't want the backlash so pretends there's no issue.

There are no "thoughtful" ads in video games, EA

There are no thoughtful ads in Video Games, EA. Leave them be.

I think the only type of games that can gets away with it would be sport games, having those sponsors ads on the side like on real life.

But don't put freaking Doritos ads in Star Wars or something, it breaks the immersion. If it is a pop-up ads, then big no.

Hofstaderman1d 20h ago

EA can thoughtfully eff themselves.

Makersbreath21d 20h ago

EA coming back for the crown of being perceived as the worst company in gaming.

Chocoburger1d 4h ago (Edited 1d 4h ago )

One of my favorite series is the THPS franchise, and it was packed with ads, but it didn't bother me. Posters for skateboard companies, JEEP, and Nokia phones. It did sort of fit in with the game world, but that was the past, these days ad would be intentionally intrusive or unskippable loading screen type of imagery. Ugh, I know EA would do it in a horrible fashion. Screw them.
