Hopefully we get a release date at gdc15

SolidStoner3383d ago

This time the wait is too long.. I remember every time I got PS console Metal gear was waiting for me! :)

hkgamer3383d ago

us release dates:
ps3 - nov2006
mgs4 - jun 2008
ps2 - oct 2000
mgs 2 - nov 2001
ps1 - sept 1995
mgs - oct 1998

not gonna bother counting ground zeroes because that wasnt a full mgs experience but considering the release window rumours its pretty close to mgs4 when it came out over a year and a half later. you just bought into this generation a little sooner than you did with others.

mgszelda13382d ago

Here's hoping for a June release

Captain_Wormy3383d ago

I'm actually starting to get a tad bit pissed off from all the bloody waiting.

hkgamer3383d ago

chill out dude.
mgs1 was revealed in 1996 and got released 2 years later in 1998
mgs4 was revealed in 2005 and got released 3 years later in 2008
mgsV was revealed in 2012 and will be released this year.

do you have any problems with waiting? i mean i can understand if you was waiting for ff15/the last guardian we saw reveal trailers for those years and years ago and they have been in development since then.

3 years for a japanese development team to reveal and then release a big game (or 2 if you count gz) is quite the norm. they are not ubi/activision where they have 2or3 big teams working on a series that gets released every year.

mgszelda13383d ago

I'm hoping he's got one more trailer that will start at gdc like one of his other trailers with big boss in Afghanistan and then a co op player will ride up on horseback to finally formally introduce co op for the first time on console for mgs. Followed by the release date

hkgamer3383d ago

well technically peace walker was released on consoles =P

but on a more serious note if coop does exist i rather it be tacked on then be an actual experience. i know it is greedy for me but i think coop ruins the single player feel and atmosphere, the story or characters just doesnt feel right anymore and it ends up just being me and a friend instead of solid snake and soldier A.

re5 coop was enjoyable but that was due to my personal experiences with coop and had little to do with the actual game. the game sucked and single player was pathetic. i personally hope mgs will not have coop but maybe a side option to do certain missions.

mgszelda13382d ago

I feel like there should be co op allowed on non story missions, but then unlocked once u have beat the story

MisfitsInc3382d ago

i don't mind not having a release date yet, i just hope it releases some time this year.

Now we'll have to see how much the Master Collection will add to those numbers.

Number1TailzFan209d ago

Too bad it was a lazy release. They could've updated the visuals and everything. Missed opportunity.

Stanjara209d ago

...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.

Minute Man 721209d ago (Edited 209d ago )

Are they counting every game?

Edit: they did

Nyxus209d ago

Yes, these are total lifetime sales of the entire series.

ApocalypseShadow209d ago

.... mostly with the help of PlayStation.

Yea I don’t get why they’re allowing old reviews to be posted here. Someone did one on Soul Reaver and I got so excited thinking there was some stealth release of an HD Remaster, but no… it’s just someone who had a slow day posted an old review…

Cacabunga225d ago

I liked the game but for me it felt somehow like a military simulator rather than a proper MGS.. i got bored of that

micdagoat19225d ago

I do wish they would remaster all the soul reavers

micdagoat19225d ago

it was done this morning though

goldwyncq225d ago

The author was in a coma for 9 years and didn't get to play the game when it released.

Chocoburger225d ago

This review arrived just in time for launch. Perfect timing!

RupeeHoarder225d ago

Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.

YourMommySpoils225d ago

Looks better than Starfield, Cyberpunk and most recent games out. Still fine.

RupeeHoarder225d ago

It most certainly does not lol.

andy85225d ago

Have you player Cyberpunk since the first day? It's absolutely stunning now

1nsomniac225d ago

One of the worst games ever made. Absolute overhyped trash!

Snowb420225d ago

The gameplay was great. It was the tacked on open world and repetitive missions that messed the game up.

Shane Kim225d ago

The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.

KyRo224d ago

The hospital section was the only bit that felt like a MGS game.

MGS4 was the ending for me. I totally ignore the fact 5 exists. It didn't need to exist tbh
