Amazon.com and Wal-Mart are increasingly winning over Blu-ray Disc customers, according to recent NPD Group surveying.

Sony has won and they and Microsft know it. Microsft will release Blu ray on their next console... it makes no sense on the 360 if you cant play games and it will be a big selling point on the next Xbox becuase by the time the next Failbox releases...Blu Ray will be mainstream or at least very very close. Prices will be cheaper, there will probably be around 60 million PS3's sold by then.
Blu Ray is the guaranteed future.
Amazon and Wal-mart are getting more buyers because they price the BD movies cheaper than Best Buy.
I went to Best Buy and wanted to buy Cloverfield and they had it priced for $30.00 but I went to Wal-Mart and they had it priced for $25.00
Well this is a no brainer. If you compare prices from Amazon and Wal Mart to somewhere like Best Buy the difference is ridiculous. I have payed as little as $6.99 for a new release Blu Ray online...Where as I have never bought a $30 new release Blu Ray from Best Buy.
Best Buy. That's only because I had a gift certificate and some reward zone points too.
All of my other movies have been bought off of Amazon. Prices are at least 15% cheaper online. Most likely more.
I HATE Walmart but i don't hate their bluray dvd's prices. in store, the movies are much more expensive, but if you order it online, they'll ship it to the store for free so you get the online price. that's like a savings of $10 each blu ray...not bad.
