Barry is back, and we're getting a tour of his side of the story with Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Production Manager Matt Walker! (8:47)
With series staple Mercenaries Mode returning to the Resident Evil 4 Remake, it’s time to remind fans of another mostly forgotten mode from the RE series. Reaching the second chapter in the 2012 3DS game Resident Evil: Revelations unlocked something called Raid Mode for players to enjoy. Unlike Mercenaries, Raid Mode is not a time-attack mode and instead operates as a more RPG-lite version of the main game. While players are expected to try and hammer down on a handful of levels in Mercenaries, Raid Mode gives players a much more expansive game type to play around with.
This mode was included in ports released on the seventh and eighth generations of consoles and was part of Resident Evil: Revelations 2, which was released in 2015. However, the Revelations duology is the only time that Raid Mode has existed in the massive Resident Evil franchise, and that should change in some future release.
I'd like to raid mode make a return in the future. When Capcom was hacked there was a as of yet announced RE game in there that I was hoping might turn into Revelations 3. There were also reports that whatever that RE game was scrapped and cancelled.
The Switch has been out for a few years now with a large library. Check out the games with the biggest file sizes as of January 2021.
Edgar writes: "And so I determined to do just that -- I shortlisted 5 best Resident Evil spin-offs and ranked them from the worst to the best."
-Levels and enemies were designed to force the player to think carefully about how to proceed instead of mindlessly blasting things.
-Even though Barry revisits some of Claire's areas, he does so at night and the areas look a lot darker. He also has his own flashlight to use.
-Barry's companion Natalia can measure enemy awareness, see glimpses of them through wall and point out hidden weak spots.
-If AI Natalia's health runs out there is no game over; Barry can simply revive her
-AI companions can be ordered to remain still, like Ashley in RE4. You can also switch control over to them at any time.
-AI companions have their own inventory and you can freely trade between them and the lead character. If you give Natalia a healing item for example she can automatically use it on Barry when he's injured.
-Barry starts out more capably than Claire so he faces tougher enemies
-Things you do as Claire can affect Barry's missions ala Resident Evil 2

The graphics looks good. That was my only gripe with Revelations 1 aside from the short campaign. I really hope they balance the Raid mode on Abyss mode this time around, because it was a bit overwhelming especially going for the trinity reward. That said, I am going to play the crap out of it.
While its awesome to play as Claire again and finally as Barry, i honestly wanted Jill and Barry to team up just like the old days but this looks cool. Hopefully it delivers.
About Micro transactions
they're not charging for continues. The game saves at checkpoints, and they're charging for an item that allows you to revive right where you died instead of going back from the last checkpoint.(Like gold orb devil may cry)
You can also get those items by playing the game.
It's still shitty, but less so.
