Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Intro on GamePad

The guys of Gaming Boulevard downloaded the Super Mario Galaxy 2 Wii U version and played the intro on the GamePad using the off-screen mode.

I wish that all Wii games support gamepad controls and a Wiimote wasn't required to play them on Wii U...

Yep. I hate the Wii remote but love my gamepad and pro controller. Wish I had that option.

I have the wii version of resident evil remake and i play it on the wii u all the time. I just have the gamepad sitting on my desk while im doing a school project then when i get bored i speedrun REmake haha.

Yes you could always play Wii games on the gamepad screen, people are idiots if they think that this is new. Only thing new is if you have to pay for a Wii game you already have just to launch it from the Wii U side instead of launching the horrible idea which is Wii mode.

I love the Wii U gamepad. I could not play the Nintendo handheld games because the screens were too small. But I have been buying them with Nintendo Online store and playing them like crazy now. Say for instance Fire Emblem from the Gameboy advance days.

You can go back and play tons of the old Nintendo games on it from the NES, Snes, Gamecube, Wii, and several of the handheld games on the Wii U System or the Wii U gamepad, which is nothing more than a large handheld system.

they don't advertise it as a gamepad game. They say that you can play the game using your gamepad to act as a TV. Still need the same controls as if you were playing it on your Wii or using the physical Wii disk in your Wii U.

I think that was the most silliest thing to do. I'd rather they had made it fully compatible with the actual face buttons on the gamepad than to use it as a mini tv its ridiculous ;)

They should make a wireless relay like the chrome stick or use the wireless portal in tv already. They could mirror the game pad. Or just use two tvs to play instead of one.
