Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm (PS3) VS fight Footage from gamespot

Reps from developer Cyber Connect 2 and Namco Bandai gave Gamespot a first look at the recently announced Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm at Namco Bandai's recent press event. With further info about an upcoming demo available through Qore then later on for everyone on Pstore .

It's basically the same bs Microsoft pulled with gold accounts getting access to demo's a week or more before silver accounts. That's just sh!t

Qore members get the Naruto demo 2 weeks before everyone else. That's just a craptastic way to sell your game. It's also a really horrible move on Sony's part. PSN is pretty dry bones as is, and reserving any descent content for those who pay to be subscribers to a crappy magazine of theirs is just d!ck.

Even though excited for this title, I refuse to buy Qore. It's bullshit. I like my PS3 primarily because I get lots of free stuff, and Qore is just a direct contrast to the that principle. Personally, it's one of the worst thing's Sony could have done.

i'm getting Qore for the demo. 1st day buy for me, someone who's never watched a Naruto show in his life, but i heard the game fills you in on all the episodes

That one was built as more of an adventure game.

However, the combat in the ubisoft one is nowhere near the level of this game. But that's expected since this one seems to be a pure fighting game.

No online sucks. I would be satisfied even if they did something like Tekken Online, or the online Ubisoft used. Ubi needs to play nice and donate their online.

I'm kinda worried it's going to be like DBZ: Burst Limit. It looks great but it only has 20 fighters and 5 open, non-interactive levels. It gets really stale, really fast.

The Ubisoft Naruto game wasn't bad as well as the PS2 Naruto games because they mixed up the action with multi-tered fights and platforming. I think this new one is simply relying on looking fantastic graphically.

My only fear is that Gamespot and 1up.com will automatically dock a full point off their Naruto scores because it doesn't have online (no matter how great the single-player is)...it's a shame.

What i find awesome is from everything i've seen so far , in scans previous trailers and this video . it looks even better than the anime , wich far too often got average and mediocre filler parts , and badly drawn and animated episodes .

Such a beautiful game getting budokai like animated cutscenes for the whole saga , and with the same constant graphic level , would already beat the anime imo .

Wow, this is looking very good and best part is that it reminds of Marvel vs Capcom 2 as in that you could Sasuke or Sakura as support players although no switching out.

Looks like I might have to invest in another episode of Qore for this demo.

not really a big naruto fan i felt that the story and plot of most anime's gets over complicated like lost after awhile, anyway even though i'm not a big fan this game looks awesome so i'll probably buy it anyway lol.

but how did you ever live in the days before online gaming? Can't you just appreciate a great single-player experience for what it is(assuming the game lives up to all the hype)?

Good question but to be brutally honest with you i prefer single player games to online gaming anyday. Hell i hardly play MGO and i never play GTA4 online because those are single player games at heart to me. But Narutimate Hero did NOT have a deep/great fighting engine like Soul Calibur or Street Fighter. I'm pretty sure if i got the game after playing it for awhile i'd get good at it and could beat the game on the hardest A.I level with the lamest of characters *looks at sakura*. Simply put that's not cutting it specially for 60 bucks i can't even play against my buds that i do talk anime with that would buy this game.

It's just not gonna cut it with me, not to mention anime games hardly ever live up to expectations. But i'm sure this won't have a "great single player experience" it'll be solid and have good graphics clearly but i love fighting games and the engine won't cut it. Not having online play so i could at least whip up on my friends after i get done with whipping on the tame A.I. system.

Well it's a reboot of their narutimate franchise so it's understandable . What would be awesome is if this time , instead of churning sequels every 6-8 months with little news and mostly the new saga and characters , they used the DLC trend with various saga packs of missions and characters .

And then do a proper sequel with online and actual news 12-18 months later

It looks amazing... but how are you gonna have a fighting game w/o online VS nowadays?
Hopefully an online patch comes out later, maybe even more downloadable characters by that time, I don't mind getting charged if the game is indeed good.

The game looks very impressive, but the lack of online mode is bothering me considering the game is a fighting game. I'll be more than happy shelling out $65 for this game if it has online mode, but since it doesn't I think I' going to wait for a price drop.
