if its nots your type of game though, and you just want to read about what happens...let me know...I have a completed file on normal difficulty that unlocked my DB perfectly fine...

i was messing with it on Thursday night and i realized how much i really know about the metal gear universe it's really a joy for vet's to be able to see everything from every game ever all in one place everything you would want to know and more is there and for noobs of the series if interested they can research every aspect of that world and even reading all these thing brings me upon some fond memories ahhh i love metal gear so much this is the only game id kill for haha ok maybe not kill but bust some illegal sh!t for haha metalgear=best series ever.

They managed to sort out the localization in a week, something Sony seems to spend months on.

You will love it if you are a fan of the series. it is information intensive and great for explaining so much of the features and story of MGS. It's a great add-on for any and all MGS fans!

i downloaded the DB off my US account but it wouldn't recognise my save data so some of the topics were blacked out. Other than that its a good little treat and a great deal of effort has definitely been put into it.

it is blacked out as long as you didnt complete the game because of spoilers. you can simply manually unlock it in the menu or complete the game.

that is what I am in the middle of...although i haven't fought a boss yet, it seems almost easier...I didn't really stick the controls until the last act my first time...I mean I understood what buttons did what, but if shat got nuts...I would always screw something up...

MGO for the past week though has me finally perfecting the CQC stuff...

now after not really having to think about the controls as much...I can focus on not getting spotted by an entire army...things go a whole lot smoother that way...

yea i thought it was misleading as well. Instead of using all this time to create a database they should have put there efforts into MGO. Yea its nice something like this is free, but I would rather have it on a book than on my console.

For all those mgs players out there , have they made mgs 4 controls more intuitive? Not to get flamed about but this is an honest question and I found the control on mgs 2 and 3 a tad clumsy due to odd camera position at times.

I found the mgs series quite decent but the controls from the previous games somewhat bother me that is why I have not picked it up just yet.

no i agree I went back to try and play MGS3 before MGS4 release and got frustrated and quit cause of the camera. I just lost patience for having to hide all the time and wait on the timer to fade.
