It’s close to a year since the PlayStation 4 hit stores now, and while pundits and gamers alike mostly agree that the console is a technical marvel, it’s not exactly been overflowing with exciting new releases to keep us glued to our controllers. Sure, it didn’t help that the likes of Watch Dogs and Destiny were considerable disappointments, though with so many intriguing console exclusives on the horizon, some of them have to hit the mark, right?
Until Dawn is getting a remake which always felt like an odd choice since the original still looks pretty good, is it worth the upgrade?
Not really… they just couldn’t be bothered with making a sequel? This original is already available on PS5 and for the cheap. This just seems kind of pointless and I’m not seeing anything that screams next-gen remake to me, but if you’re a fan of it and looking forward to this, more power to ya’
Having played all Dark Pictures Anthology games as well as the Quarry, I am definitely not skipping this one.
I would even buy the original if it was on PC, since I only have a Steamdeck and a Switch.
I remember that it got surprisingly good reviewed and the Quarry has loosely the same premise as Until Dawn (not exactly the same but similar setting)
Wait a minute why they use sun lights in horror game ? What's wrong with those developers ?
Even in Silent hill 2 remake bloober team use sun lights in hospital reception WHY ? The whole city is covered with fog
Really bad developers we have these days
Sony Interactive Entertainment's upcoming single-player PC games like God of War Ragnarok and Until Dawn will require a PSN account.
Sony will lose support and money from 177 countries that support Steam but do not support PSN!
Tell me about stupidity, I'll tell you Sony.
Its concern is to increase the number of PSN subscribers, at the expense of profit and
More sales for their games from 177 countries.
Are we always going to get news articles on this? Yes, any Sony game on PC now requires a PSN and won’t be accessible to regions that don’t have the PSN infrastructure.
Why is this a problem? Just curious. Don't you need accounts for Steam, Xbox, Gog, Epic Games,EA, Blizzard,etc..? Why is it a problem if you need PSN?
MAUs is clearly just as important to Sony.
I say make signing into PSN optional. Give players a reason to use it.. like the recently announced layer that lets you earn trophies.
I'm not bothered but there are countries who won't have access to the game because of this.
When eight friends return to the isolated lodge where two of their group vanished a year prior, fear tightens its icy grip, and their mountain retreat descen...
I went back to the original PS4 game recently and it surprised me how dark and textureless some of the environments are compared to the newer games like The Quarry as my memory has all these games looking basically the same. To me the video does seem a solid visual upgrade, I wouldn’t spend £70 but if this was £30 with some new story elements akin to a Directors cut, I think I’d bite for a Halloween replay through
When you go through this list of fifteen games, and then consider what ISN'T in the list like The Tomorrow Children, Wild or Rime, you begin to realise just how many exclusives the PS4 is going to have in 2015. Add in the the multiplatform games and it's going to be one an incredible year for gamers.
I don't know how you can have the Last Guardian on the list when you admit it hasn't been announced. Same as the quantic dream mystery project, when you don't have any idea what it is.
There are a bunch of awesome exclusives coming though. Personally looking forward to The Witness, Galak-Z, The Order: 1866, Rime, Abzu, Everyone's Gone to Rapture, and Uncharted 4. I have heard good things about Journey, No Man's Sky, and Papers Please so I want to try them too. I have both systems, so there are some XB1 exclusives I plan on getting as well.
