Although it was leaked a while back, Assassins Creed Rogue was recently officially announced. Taking place after Black Flag and involving characters from both that instalment and Assassins Creed 3, it looks to delight those who feel Unity’s departure to Revolution-era France is a backward step. As long as they don’t mind sticking with the previous generation.
Rogue is exclusively for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, with Unity being exclusive for the new-gen. This dual approach is bold and new, with most developers opting to release different versions of the same game. Is this the smart move, ensuring both games are optimized and get the full treatment? Is it just Ubisoft’s way of getting us to buy two games to get the full story? What does this mean for future iterations of other franchises?
Shaz from GL writes: "Assassin’s Creed Unity is looked at as one of the worst in Ubisoft’s iconic franchise. But playing it nearly 10 years later reveals it may just be the best"
Mark from WellPlayed writes about five game launches that were impacted by unfortunate scheduling.
Zero Dawn sold really well so I’m not sure this belongs. The second game released next to a big game again and it hurt it some I forget what it was though, oh yeah Elden Ring .
But a good game is a good game to me I don’t care when they release personally but they do have to think about it when you want to get more people to buy it.
Small video game maps that are packed with things to do are better than huge but empty maps. Here are five small but brilliant maps in games.
More of a pain than a benefit, I don't plan on going back to the PS3 any time soon.
I think I will pass on both until they are 20 bucks. Just bored of AC and Batman. Great games but always the same old mechanics. Not even ready for 1 let alone 2. If you are all in, enjoy.
