PS4 Exclusive RIME Aims to Evoke Deep Player Emotions

PushSquare: With no sign of Team ICO’s hotly anticipated The Last Guardian on the horizon, the responsibility may fall with Spanish studio Tequila Works’ gorgeous RIME to provide us with the PlayStation 4 tearjerker that we deserve. And as part of a semi-promotional Develop article, the indie outfit has confirmed that it’s hoping to convey “deep emotions” throughout the exclusive adventure.

This is the only indie game coming to ps4 I care about.

XisThatKid3675d ago

I have to disagree with that "only" stuff but Def been looking way forward for this and had to neuter myself of this game at reveal at E3 because I knew the wait was ganna be too long for me. It would have killed me.

DiscoKid3675d ago

Notice it was an opinion.

XisThatKid3675d ago

? uh yea Thats why I can say I disagree with his/her opinion. I can't disagree with a fact.

levian3675d ago

I've never heard of this before, what is it supposed to be?

This art style is beautiful. I've always been a fan of games that are pleasing to the eye.

Kayant3675d ago

Also this isn't an indie game since it's published/partially funded by Sony.

mkis0073675d ago (Edited 3675d ago )

Can't tell if serious.

@mkis007

"Can't tell if serious" - Cannot tell if you don't know how to use a search engine to look at the definition.

Dang this game is beautiful. Oh and the Witness is pretty as well.

DigitalRaptor3675d ago (Edited 3675d ago )

I need this game hooked into my veins. NOW!

It comes across to me as Ico, Journey and The Wind Waker, all rolled into one.

"With no sign of Team ICO’s hotly anticipated The Last Guardian…"

What are the odds that we won't hear anything about TLG at E3…?

RIME does sound intriguing, especially the influences he talked about there.

I think just like with all the news about Driveclub coming 'fast & furious', Sony may be doing to The Last Guardian as it did with Driveclub.

Keep it very tight to the chest until it is ready to be unveiled to the world again. We all know it is a given that it is now a PS4 game to accommodate Ueda's vision for the game. Of course this will upset PS3 fans who have been waiting for the game but like FF15 difficult decisions had to be made. Either cancel it entirely or shift platforms. I rather have the latter.

Bathyj3675d ago

Man I've been dying to hear more about this game. I didn't know it was unreal engine 4. Probably because we know nothing about it. That needs to change at e3.

BABY-JEDI3675d ago

Every time I read The Last Guardian my hear plummets. : (
This game looks excellent. Really like the theme & visual style. Fingers crossed

5 Bad Switch Ports That Should Not Have Happened

Greysun writes:

The Nintendo Switch gets bombarded with many, many ports. But most of them actually run pretty well, with only a couple that we would call bad Switch ports.

While I agree with the majority on this list Bloodstained is far from a bad port. Sure it doesn't run as fast as the other more powerful machines and has some sacrifices made to the graphics to keep the game running smooth. But some of the errors that are being mentioned can be patched and addressed. The game is still fun to play, it's not like it's broken or anything.

King_Noctis1784d ago

Ark should have never been released the way it is on the Switch. The game is so so bad.

It's purely down to the incompetence of the Devs. Just go and look at how more demanding games have successfully been ported to Switch and then you have proof that these are just poorly done.
