While sales results in North America and Europe are infrequently shared and occasionally vague, it's easy to keep track of Japanese equivalents with the country's weekly charts. The trend has been largely the same for a long time — the 3DS is dominant. Last week brought a slightly underwhelming début for Super Mario 3D World, and while Mario's latest has had a relatively modest second week, the Wii U hardware sales have nevertheless continued an upward trend.

Watching any of these 3 fall out of the race would be terrible.

It seems Nintendo was right when they said that it would "Be more of a marathon than a sprint" for the Wii U.
Which is fine with me so long as I get my next-gen Zelda and Smash Bros.XD
