To me this might as well be called "9 PS2 Classics I Have Regrettably Never Played". Of those I've only played Pro Skater 4.

Thankfully I can play most of them when I get around to getting the HD collections/versions. I already have Shadow of the Colossus ready to play thanks to PS Plus.

ps2 was my introduction to online games, metal gear online on mgs3, splinter cell on line,killzone online. besides that i only played rpg's.

The Ps2 was such a great console with some the greatest games in history. After Sony giving us this it's hard to see why some people don't like Sony. Anyway I'm still holding on to mine even after years.

No way bro. Memory cards, no 4 controller port, no included online adaptor. That system was a tird. The games were phenomenal though.

My favs by a lot were Twisted Metal, Mortal Kombat, and Final Fantasy 7.

While I respect your oppinion I liked the memory cards because the fact that I could take my saved game or created character to a friends house to play. I mean I had one of those multi taps for 4 player games so I didn't have that problem but I can see how it could of been frustrating. As far as online I wouldn't know started playing online on PC first.

Well that's my whole point. Ps2 was a very stripped down system. It did release pretty early, so I guess they get a free pass for that, but still...xbox had built in 4 ports, ethernet, hard drive, memory cards, and faster specs.

Just why I was sayin in that gen, the system wasn't very stellar, but the games were. Now it seems, they may have both the specs and the games going for it for next gen.

back then it really didnt need specs, microsoft really was wise and i feel like they had a grasp of were the future was going and got their first with the 360, but now that is the past and the future is yet again upon us. This time MS seems to be a little off on what the xbox fans wanted and playstation always betting on the games.

I can think of way more than 10 games for the PS2 that are classics. The library is so huge that no matter what kind of games you like, it's easy to find something to play.

Suikoden 1,2 , and legend of the dragoon best games ever made if the ps4 made remake I would jump on it right away.

Oww a ff7 remake would be a system seller. Not just an ff7 hdbut a full blown out remake with ps4 graphics

FFX was my first PS2 game ever. I was completely floored at the difference between IX and X and it's still one of my all time favourite games. They don't make games like that anymore, specifically Square-Enix.

Wow the PS2, it brings nostalgia. A golden era no other console ever had. I wish the PS4 bring back those days.

Sadly I never had the chance to pick up Okami although I heard it's a great game! Kingdom Hearts should be on this list especially if FFX is on there. For me these two games go hand in hand. They both were a huge part of my gaming experience as a kid. Played and beat them a dozen times.
